If the notice is hand delivered, a representative of the Union will be afforded the opportunity to be present. The Specific Notice will include the information required by Federal Personnel Manual Chapter 351. Employees will be afforded a minimum of five (5) working days, commencing with the first work day following the day of receipt, in which to make a decision and communicate that decision to the Employer.

SPECIFIC NOTICE. Specific written notice of separation will be issued to individual affected COREs prior to the proposed date of their release. FEMA’s goal is to provide notice no less than 30 calendar days from their date of release unless extenuating circumstances dictate a shorter notice period.
