Site Allowances. Site allowances and conditions as per the VBIA shall apply to on-site construction work and re- furbishment works undertaken by employees covered by this Agreement. The allowances shall apply on commercial, industrial projects that are within the guidelines of the VBIA. Site allowance will be paid up to final commissioning or when the store commences trading which ever is the later.

Site Allowances. An employee, during the ordinary working week commencing from night shift Sunday and concluding on the commencement of night shift Friday who works for a continuous period amounting to 12 hours or more from the time of commencing work shall be entitled to be absent from work until the employee has had at least ten (10) consecutive hours off duty without the loss of pay on ordinary working time during such absence. In the event that an employee has not had ten (10) hours break , then an allowance will be paid equivalent to two (2) hours at his normal rate of pay.
Site Allowances. Where the Enterprise is contracted to perform work on a site where a Project Agreement which is lodged with the Office of the Employment Advocate (now Workplace Authority), or has been certified by the Commission, and is compliant with the National Building Code and Guidelines applies, the following shall apply:
Site Allowances. Site Allowances are estimates for the completion of items of work that may be affected by unknown and/or unforeseen conditions, including those that may not be under the control of the Builder. Examples of Site Allowances are poor subsoil conditions, unforeseen conditions such as lead based paint and plumbing or electrical systems that require an upgrade to properly serve the home and 2) Selection Allowances are estimates for materials or labor included in the work that are undecided at the time this Contract is signed. Examples of Selection Allowances include plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, flooring materials and countertops. The actual cost of Selection Allowances may be affected by the Owner’s choices. The Owner understands that allowance estimates are not guaranteed prices. All Allowances shall be identified in the Specifications, or attached as Schedule A, and will be charged at the Builder’s total cost plus an Allowance xxxx-up of _______% of the total cost. The final cost of the Allowances provided for as part of this Contract will be calculated based upon completion of the particular work and/or selection of materials involved. Where the final cost of an Allowance item, including the Builder’s markup, exceeds the Allowance amount, the Owner shall pay the difference within the time period specified in Section 4 above. Should the cost together with the markup be less than the Allowance, the Owner shall receive a credit for the difference at the time of Owner’s Final Payment or on the appropriate draw. Materials, products, finishes or selections will not become part of this Contract or incorporated into the Work unless expressly agreed to by the parties in writing where the material, product, finish or selection is clearly identified, together with the agreement of Owner to pay the cost and xxxx-up for the item or items.
