Scrambling. Digital signals are scrambled to ensure the radiated RF spectrum does not contain discrete spectral components as a result of repetitive patterns in the input data stream or carrying internally generated AIS. (b) The Licensee reserves its rights to scramble or otherwise encode any cable channel(s), except for the channels referenced in Section 5.7(a) above, as is reasonably necessary, in the Licensee’s judgment, to protect the Licensee from unauthorized reception of its Signals.
