School Property. The use of school building facilities for meetings, provided such meetings are held at hours other than school day hours and advance permission for such use has been given by the Administration.
School Property. The school maintains ownership of any desk and file cabinet assigned to a teacher. The contents are to be respected as property of the teacher, and only in emergency situations will Supervisors exercise the right to open the desk or file cabinet. In case of termination of a teacher, contents of the desk or file cabinet must be held for a period of thirty (30) days during which time an attempt shall be made to contact the teacher.
School Property. Teachers shall reasonably try to protect any school property entrusted to them, including but not limited to Board-provided technology equipment. Any damage to school property should be immediately reported to the principal. Teachers who possess a Board-provided laptop are responsible for protecting and maintaining any records on the laptop that could be considered a public record.
School Property. Teachers shall be held responsible for the order and neatness of their respective rooms. When an injury is done to school property, they shall give prompt notice to the Principal of the building. This does not imply that teachers will perform custodial duty.
School Property. Each employee shall be responsible for the supervision of school property and for the supervision of students at all times whenever employees have direct or indirect responsibility of school property or students. The administration shall cooperate and support each employee in this activity.
School Property. All students are expected to respect and care for all property of SCCA including building facilities, desks, dry erase boards, dry erase markers, books, lavatories, lockers, etc. Any student damaging or defacing school property will be required to pay for the damage or loss. Willful destruction or defacement of school property at any time is just cause for disciplinary action and may result in expulsion. Official student grades and transcripts will be withheld until all costs from the said damages have been paid in full. Student Property SCCA assumes no responsibility for any loss to students’ personal property or for items such as (but not limited to) radios, tape recorders/players, cameras, pagers, cellular phones, IPods, camcorders, hand held game systems, toys and cards. Parents and students are advised that it is a violation of school code to use portable communication devices (such as, but not limited to, cellular phones, beepers, recorders, etc.) during school hours. Electronic devices that are capable of accessing servers are not permitted on campus. Items will be confiscated and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken. Confiscated items will only be returned to the parent or guardian once they have come to school and met with the School Director. The following items will be immediately confiscated if brought to campus: skateboards, skates, roller blades, TVS, electronic game systems (PS2, Game Cube, etc.), flat irons, curling irons, or aerosol cans (hair spray, deodorant, etc.), and fragrances of any type. This is not an exhaustive list. Inappropriate items will be returned to parents at the discretion of the School Director. Student property that is traditionally considered confidential (journals, purses) will be turned over to the School Director if it is found to pose a risk to its owner or anyone else. Any student damaging or defacing property that belongs to another student or staff member will be required to pay for the damage or loss. Willful destruction or defacement of student or instructor property at any time is just cause for disciplinary action and may result in expulsion. Official student grades and transcripts will be withheld until all costs from the said damages have been paid in full. See below for items allowed and not allowed on campus.
School Property. Any school equipment, tools, supplies, and materials including, but not limited to: paper, chalk, chalkboard erasers, copy of the teacher's edition of all texts used, texts, grade books, class schedules, attendance lists, and lesson plan books, are the property of the Board, and are subject to inspection upon demand, and must be returned upon request.
School Property. Duly authorized representatives of the Union shall have the right to transact official Union business on school property before or after regular duty hours and during the lunch time of bargaining unit members, provided that this right does not interfere with normal school operations. No Union views on matters relating to School Board-teacher relationships or supervisor-teacher relationships shall be discussed in the presence of students.
School Property. The parent or guardian of a child who carelessly destroys or damages any furniture, equipment, buildings, or anyone’s personal property will be obligated to pay the full amount of repairs and labor or replacement.
School Property. 3.12.1 Teachers shall be accountable, but not financially responsible for school property lost, stolen or damaged on school premises when school policy and procedures have been followed.
