Safe Schools Clause Samples
The Safe Schools clause establishes requirements and standards to ensure that educational environments remain secure and free from threats or harm. Typically, this clause outlines the responsibilities of parties—such as school staff, contractors, or service providers—to implement safety protocols, conduct background checks, and report any incidents that could compromise student or staff safety. Its core practical function is to protect students and personnel by proactively addressing potential risks, thereby fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
Safe Schools. School District will supervise and monitor compliance by Merakey with the provisions of Article XIII-A of the School Code relating to “Safe Schools” requirements.
Safe Schools. The Superintendent and Brighton Education Association agree that safe schools are important to the welfare of all staff and students. We agree to work together to identify and address concerns on safety issues.

B) It is understood that the Bargaining Unit shall appoint representatives on all Board committees that are mandated by the Ministry of Education as a result of ▇▇▇▇ 212, PPM 144, PPM 128, PPM 145 and each Safe School Team.
C) The Board shall compile, by term, a report listing any official student suspension or expulsion that falls within the parameters of the Safe School Act, Board’s Progressive Discipline Policy (January 25, 2008), Code of Conduct (January 25, 2008), and Bullying Prevention Policy (January 25, 2008), and forward said report upon request to the President of the Bargaining Unit.
Safe Schools. The Board is dedicated to maintaining safe working and learning environments in all its locations for teachers. Board Policy 202 (Student Discipline) as developed is an integral component of providing such environments.
Safe Schools. If a teacher is hospitalized or at home under doctor's orders due to an assault arising out of and in the course of his/her employment, no loss of pay or accumulated leave time will occur.

Nothing in this section shall prohibit any professional employee from taking possession of a firearm discovered on school property, for the sole purpose of notifying and turning over the discovered firearm to building administration.

Safe Schools. The District will provide training regarding safe school procedures for school secretaries, lead teachers and administration. The secretaries and lead teachers will be provided with some form of communication; i.e. walkie-talkies, telephones, hand held radios. (2008-09)

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction will work with the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin to support effective school safety and work together to implement programs in prevention and intervention of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse, mental health, and promote school safety in order to reduce barriers to learning.
