Purpose, Location. The project concerns the company's research and development (R&D) of various new products and product improvements in heart failure with a particular focus on i) cardiac surgery (heart valves and cardiopulmonary), and ii) cardiac rhythm management. The project is covering the entire product development from pre-clinical studies up to clinical trials. The project will be managed from Milan and implemented on the promoter's R&D sites in France and Italy.
Purpose, Location. The project concerns selected investments in Research, Development and Innovation (“RDI”) in the field of sustainable water and wastewater solutions over the period 2017-2019. The project aims at developing new capabilities and smart technologies to drive growth and sustain Xylem Group’s unique water pure-play position. The RDI activities will be carried out at Xylem Group’s R&D units in Sweden (51%), Germany (24%), Italy (11%), UK (7%), Hungary (4%) and Austria (3%).
Purpose, Location. The project finances the Borrower’s R&D expenses over the next 3 year, mainly related to the development of Lanifibranor, Odiparcil and YaP-Tead programs, as well as programs still at pre-clinical stages and potential new leads (non-clinical and clinical studies, product manufacturing, related regulatory expenses, and related G&A expenses). The project will be managed mainly in Daix, France.
Purpose, Location. The project will provide finance to the Government of the Slovak Republic for implementation selected measures of its Rural Development Programme (RDP) for the 2014-2020 programming period. The EIB operation will primarily support investments in physical assets at farm and downstream processing and distribution levels, which aim to enhance competitiveness, add value to primary produce and promote environmentally-sound production. Forestry sector and rural infrastructure development investments will also be supported under the project. Investments by final beneficiaries located across the entire territory of the Slovak Republic are eligible for project support.
Purpose, Location. The Project represents a municipal framework loan supporting eligible investment schemes coherent with the Development Strategy of the City of Turku and included in the City´s investment programme. All schemes will be implemented within the City of Turku located on the southwest coast of Finland.
Purpose, Location. The proposed framework facility concerns the improvement, rehabilitation, upgrading and extension of municipal infrastructure and facilities in Plzen, the fourth largest city in the Czech Republic with a population of some 170 000 inhabitants. The operation aims at responding to the need for urban regeneration prioritised in the City's 2004 Development Plan and comprises eligible sub-projects from Plzen's Capital Investment Programme for 2007-2013 that have been prioritised for implementation. The majority of these sub-projects are expected to be complemented by EU grant support from the Structural Funds in the 2007-2013 programming period as they comply with the conditions of applicable Operational Programmes for the region under the Convergence Objective.
Purpose, Location. The Project finances selected investments from the City of Turku’s investment plan. The Project concerns both new construction and major renovations, including also extension and replacement of existing obsolete facilities. The Project will enable Turku to meet the demands of an increasing and more diverse student population in one of the fastest growing cities of the country. The Project supports Turku in provision of healthy and safe learning environments for students and staff. Additionally, it also aims at upgrading and modernising the facilities to respond to the new vision of learning included in the 2016 national curriculum reform. With this reform, Finland has been undergoing one of the most ambitious school redesign projects in Europe, exchanging traditional walled-in classrooms and rows of desks for more flexible and informal open-plan layouts. Finally, the project will promote the physical and cultural education offered to the City's children through investments in sport halls and cultural buildings.
Purpose, Location. The Project concerns the construction of a metro line of about 22 km with 18 stations and related purchase of a fleet of about 96 metro cars in the city of Bengaluru, in the State of Karnataka in Southern India. The Project is a major element of the second phase of the staged construction of a longer network of metro lines in the city. The first phase of the metro system, comprising two intersecting lines in aggregate of 42 km length, has been placed incrementally into commercial operation since 2011 with the whole of the first phase opened for operation in Q1 2017. The second phase comprises two new lines, including one under this Bank's operation, plus four extensions of the lines built under phase one, in aggregate totalling 72 km. The Project is consistent with the National Urban Transport Policy 2006 and Bengaluru Revised City Masterplan to 2031.
Purpose, Location. The Project consists of two parts: (i) a Structural Programme Loan (SPL) that will co-finance investments in the transport sector under the Operational Programme Integrated Infrastructure (OPII); and (ii) co-financing of the national contribution to investments that receive co-financing from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for the period 2014-2020.
