POLYGRAPH TEST Clause Samples

The Polygraph Test clause establishes whether and under what circumstances an employer may require an employee to undergo a lie detector test. Typically, this clause outlines the legal limitations on polygraph testing, referencing applicable laws such as the Employee Polygraph Protection Act, and may specify exceptions for certain job roles or investigations involving theft or fraud. Its core function is to clarify the rights and obligations of both employer and employee regarding polygraph examinations, thereby ensuring compliance with legal standards and protecting both parties from unlawful testing practices.
