The Planning Commission clause establishes a designated body or group responsible for overseeing and guiding the planning and development processes within a project or organization. Typically, this commission reviews proposals, makes recommendations, and ensures that development aligns with established policies or regulations. By centralizing decision-making and providing expert oversight, the clause helps maintain consistency, transparency, and compliance in planning activities, thereby reducing the risk of uncoordinated or non-compliant development.
Planning Commission. The Planning Commission may review the City’s Shoreline Master Program as part of regular updates required by RCW 90.58.080 as a major element of the City's planning and regulatory program, and make recommendations for amendments to the City Council.
