The Pallbearer clause designates specific individuals who are responsible for carrying the casket at a funeral or memorial service. Typically, this clause lists the names of the chosen pallbearers and may provide instructions regarding alternates or the process for selecting replacements if needed. Its core function is to ensure that the decedent's wishes regarding this ceremonial role are clearly communicated and respected, thereby preventing confusion or disputes among family and friends during funeral arrangements.
Pallbearer. One (1) day’s leave at the employee’s regular rate of pay shall be granted to an employee to attend a funeral as a pallbearer.
