Lost Property Clause Samples
The Lost Property clause outlines the procedures and responsibilities related to items that are found or left behind on the premises. Typically, it specifies how such items should be reported, stored, and for how long they will be held before being disposed of or returned to their owner. For example, it may require staff to log found items and attempt to contact the owner if possible. The core function of this clause is to ensure a clear and fair process for handling lost property, reducing disputes and liability for the organization while helping individuals recover their belongings.
