IRONMONGERY. 11.1 All external doors will be fitted with a cylinder lockset with aluminium furniture as per manufacturer.
IRONMONGERY. Ironmongery shall be as specified in the Bills of Quantities or equal and approved. Prices must include for removing and re-fixing during and after painting, labeling all keys, and for fixing to hardwood, softwood, concrete or blockwork. Catalogue references given for ironmongery are for purposes of indicating quality and size of item(s). Should the Contractor wish to substitute the specified item(s) with others of equal quality, he must inform the Project Manager and obtain approval in writing.
IRONMONGERY. The Tenderer is referred to the relevant Clauses in the separate document Model Preambles for Trades (2008 Edition) and to the Supplementary Preambles hereunder, before pricing this Bill.
IRONMONGERY. All locks and ironmongery shall be fixed with screws, etc., to match. Before the woodwork is painted, handles shall be removed, carefully stored and refixed after completion of painting and locks oiled and left in perfect working order. All keys shall be labelled with the door reference marked on labels before handing to the Architect on completion.
IRONMONGERY. All ironmongery shall be removed from joinery, steel windows and louvres before painting is commenced, and shall be cleaned and renovated if necessary and refixed after completion of painting.
IRONMONGERY. Internal doors are to be fitted with standard two lever mortice locksets with door handles selected by the client from the DEVELOPER’s preferred range and to PC allowance. External doors are to be fitted with three lever mortice lockset with brass door handles selected by the client from the DEVELOPER’s preferred range and PC allowance.
IRONMONGERY. A. Stainless steel door handles with two lever mortice locks to all internal doors.
IRONMONGERY. The Company warrants hinge systems and handles for a period of (10) ten years to be free from functional failure provided that they are maintained in accordance to the Product Maintenance Instructions. Tarnishing is not covered by this warranty.
