HEART. The Biblical nouns for heart always refer to the right lobe of the soul, with possibly the exception of one passage in the Bible. The Hebrew lebh and the Greek kardia are both translated "heart." 1Sam 25:37 and 2Sam 18:14. The heart is the part of the soul where metabolized Bible doctrine resides and therefore the heart is to dominate the soul. When emotion takes over the believers thinking the heart is no longer in control and the believer is in emotional revolt of the soul.
HEART. Blood pressure and pulse rate: We check for higher-than-normal blood pressure (hypertension) as this means that the heart has to work harder to push blood around your body. Over the long term, this is associated with an increased risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney failure Body composition Height and weight measurement: We combine and compare these measurements with other tests. Body Max Index (BMI): This is a ratio of your height to weight, which helps to indicate if you are at a healthy weight. People with a BMI of 25 and over can have a higher-than-average risk of health problems like diabetes, heart disease and some cancers. Blood tests Cholesterol profile blood test: (including LDL and HDL) High cholesterol affects your heart and blood vessels and increases your risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Diabetes blood test: We check for raised glucose levels which may indicate diabetes. This can usually be controlled with diet, exercise or medicines. If not controlled, it can increase the risk of problems such as heart disease and strokes, nerve damage and blindness. Health Risks Coronary heart disease risk score: We estimate the risk of a heart attack within the next 10 years, taking into account your age, sex, total cholesterol, High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, blood pressure, presence of diabetes and whether or not you smoke The Supplier also has a range of other tests, checks and services which can be provided to the Commissioner’s staff either at the Commissioner’s or individual staff member’s expense. Separate billing for additional items can be arranged directly with the Commissioner’s staff. The Supplier either owns or has a partnership arrangement with other organisations which enable it to provide satisfactory facilities for the medical assessments to take place which are within reasonably close proximity to each of the Commissioner’s offices and accessible via public transport or have on-site parking. Each facility has comfortable waiting areas with refreshments, changing rooms and toilet facilities and private and fully equipped assessment rooms. As the majority of the Commissioner’s staff are based in Wilmslow it is anticipated that most assessments will take place at either the Supplier’s Central Manchester or Macclesfield facilities. Speech therapy services must relate to: • performing basic functional communication; or • assessing or treating swallowing dysfunction. The amount you pay and any benefit limit will be the same whether the services are provided for habilitative or rehabilitative purposes.

  • Medi Cal PII is information directly obtained in the course of performing an administrative function on behalf of Medi-Cal, such as determining Medi-Cal eligibility or conducting IHSS operations, that can be used alone, or in conjunction with any other information, to identify a specific individual. PII includes any information that can be used to search for or identify individuals, or can be used to access their files, such as name, social security number, date of birth, driver’s license number or identification number.   • Wellness A. To support the statewide goal for a healthy and productive workforce, employees are encouraged to participate in a Well-Being Assessment survey. Employees will be granted work time and may use a state computer to complete the survey.

  • Medication ‌ An employee who reports to work after using physician prescribed medication which has caused physiological or psychological effects negatively affecting job performance and safety shall advise his/her supervisor of the medication and its effects before commencing or continuing work.

  • Influenza Vaccine Upon recommendation of the Medical Officer of Health, all employees shall be required, on an annual basis to be vaccinated and or to take antiviral medication for influenza. If the costs of such medication are not covered by some other sources, the Employer will pay the cost for such medication. If the employee fails to take the required medication, she may be placed on an unpaid leave of absence during any influenza outbreak in the home until such time as the employee has been cleared by the public health or the Employer to return to the work environment. The only exception to this would be employees for whom taking the medication will result in the employee being physically ill to the extent that she cannot attend work. Upon written direction from the employee’s physician of such medical condition in consultation with the Employer’s physician, (if requested), the employee will be permitted to access their sick bank, if any, during any outbreak period. If there is a dispute between the physicians, the employee will be placed on unpaid leave. If the employee gets sick as a reaction to the drug and applies for WSIB the Employer will not oppose the application. If an employee is pregnant and her physician believes the pregnancy could be in jeopardy as a result of the influenza inoculation and/or the antiviral medication she shall be eligible for sick leave in circumstances where she is not allowed to attend at work as a result of an outbreak. This clause shall be interpreted in a manner consistent with the Ontario Human Rights Code.
