Forfeits Sample Clauses

A Forfeits clause defines the circumstances under which a party may lose certain rights, benefits, or assets under an agreement, typically as a consequence of breaching specific terms or failing to fulfill obligations. In practice, this clause might apply to the loss of a deposit, the surrender of prepaid fees, or the relinquishment of property if contractual conditions are not met. Its core function is to incentivize compliance and deter breaches by establishing clear penalties, thereby allocating risk and promoting accountability between the parties.
Forfeits. Teams shall receive wild-card points for forfeited losses if the forfeit was due to extenuating circumstances (such as weather) between the two schools. No wild-card points shall be awarded for losses when the forfeit is imposed by the Executive Director or Board of Directors; an appeal to the Executive Director would be heard if the infraction leading to the NSAA imposed forfeiture was self-reported by the school.
Forfeits. To enter a forfeited game:
Forfeits. In the event that neither team is able to field at least eight players to start the game, no Forfeit applies, and the game should be Re-Scheduled. If only one team is able to field eight or more players to start the game the game will initially be declared a Forfeit in accordance with Rule 4.16. The potential Forfeit shall be reported to the District Inter-League Representative via email. A decision will subsequently be made as to whether the Forfeit shall stand or the game rescheduled. If the game is rescheduled, the site of the rescheduled game may be different than the original game. For example, if a Visiting Team travels to another park and the Home Team does not show up, the rescheduled game will, if possible, be scheduled at the original game’s Visiting Team’s park. If only one team is unable to field eight players and the other team has excess players, the teams may decide to play a “practice game” in which case the team with excess players will loan the opposing team enough players to be able to field a team. This was initially a scheduled Interleague Game so one of the team has traveled to the location to play. Rather than going home without playing the teams might as well have a practice game while they are there.
Forfeits. For games that you scored in-game (that is, play-by-play), you need to load the game into Manual entry to enter red-zone stats for that game. The red-zone stats you enter are remembered even if you later load and modify the game using In-game scoring functions.
Forfeits. Teams are expected to begin play on time. A team has 3 minutes to arrive after the clock begins. If a team has less than 6 players after five minutes, a forfeit will be declared. Teams will still be able to use the ice in the event of a forfeit. • All minor penalties: Three minutes running time. Stop clock to set penalties, start with the drop of the puck. • All major penalties: Seven minutes running time. Stop clock to set penalties, start with the drop of the puck. • Fighting:

Forfeits. When a school’s varsity team is unable to complete the season, those remaining teams on that school’s regular season schedule may either: a. Receive forfeit wins for those scheduled contests and shall be awarded wildcard points for those forfeit wins. Wildcard points will be determined by the forfeiting team's record at the time of seeding for post-season competition. If a team declares to participate in the postseason and does not participate, forfeit wins will be issued to their opponents for those postseason matches. OR b. If more than seven days remain before any level of postseason seeding is to take place in that sport, a school may replace the forfeited contest on their schedule with another opponent/contest. Replacements that may be added to the schedule are limited to either teams similarly affected by the forfeiting team, or, teams that have an unfilled, allowable contest opening on their schedule. Replacement contests must be scheduled a minimum of seven days in advance of any postseason seeding and will count towards postseason/wildcard seeding.

Forfeits. Advanced Notice: Contractors will not be paid for their first and final games in circumstances where they received prior days’ notice of a forfeit. Middle games will be paid for as the Contractor must remain onsite. Contractors will be partially paid in circumstances where there are multiple forfeits in a row that extend to the end of their shift. This will result in being paid the full game fee for the first forfeit and a game fee of $10 per game for each remaining game. For example, if the Contractor has a four-game set of adult sand volleyball, and games 2, 3, and 4 are forfeited, the Contactor would be paid the full game fee of $30 for their first forfeited game and $10 a game for each of their remaining two games, totaling $80 (1st game = $30, 2nd game (forfeit #1) = $30, 3rd game (forfeit #2) = $10, and 4th game (forfeit #3) = $10). • Day Of: Contractors will be paid for all forfeits in circumstances where they received same day notice. • Onsite: Contractors will be paid for all forfeits in circumstances where discovery is found onsite. Failure to Show: Failure to show to an assignment may result in the termination of the contract agreement.
