Floater Sample Clauses
A Floater clause establishes that certain terms or conditions within a contract are variable and can change based on an external reference or index. For example, in financial agreements, a floater might tie interest rates to a benchmark such as LIBOR, causing the payable rate to fluctuate as the benchmark changes. This clause is primarily used to ensure that contract terms remain responsive to market conditions, thereby allocating risk and benefit between parties as external factors shift.
