Extended Year. 11.8.1 Regular Shasta County Office of Education employees may use Bereavement Leave, Sick Leave and Personal Necessity Leave during the extended session ONLY AFTER they have worked at least one full day of the extended year session. A "full-day" includes any days and hours assigned prior to the start of the extended session.
Extended Year. All teacher assistants and Special Needs Assistants may have their year extended up to two (2) additional days, as determined by the Superintendent.
Extended Year. The Employer shall advertise proposed extended year unit positions no later than one week prior to the end of the school year. The Employer will give first consideration to current unit members before hiring from the outside.
Extended Year. In the event the school calendar is extended which would create the need for bargaining unit member beyond the normal working year, such work shall be offered to current bargaining unit members before any additional persons are hired. No current bargaining unit member, however, shall be required to work beyond their regular contractual periods of employment.
Extended Year. Teachers required to work additional days beyond the normal work year for the purpose of test scoring or training shall be compensated at 1/200th of his or her annual base salary (including graduate hours) divided by seven (7) and paid in prorated segments of fifteen (15) minutes fully completed. Teachers will not be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. When such work does occur, it will be paid at the same rate as above.
Extended Year. In recognition of the fact that school counselors have responsibilities beyond the regular school year, they will be compensated for additional days at their per diem rate pro-rated according to their base contract FTE on a supplemental contract as follows: • Social Workers/Liaisons - 12 days per language, plus an additional 3 flex days • High school counselors – 12 days per language, plus an additional 3 flex days • High school special education counselors - 6 days per language, plus an additional 3 flex days • Middle school counselors – 6 days per language, plus an additional 3 flex days • Alternative High School Counselor – 6 days per language, plus an additional 3 flex days • Summit School Counselor – 3 days per language, plus an additional 3 flex days • Elementary school counselors – 3 flex days These days shall be scheduled in collaboration with the building principal.

Partial Day Closure that counts as a Student School Day *Staff may be given the option of making up the time missed based on management needs. Report to Scheduled Work Day OR personal leave hours may be used for Scheduled Hours ONLY Paid for hours worked and/or personal leave hours may be used for scheduled hours not worked Partial Day Closure that does not count as a Student School Day Report to Scheduled Work Day OR personal leave hours may be used for scheduled hours not worked Paid for hours worked and with the difference being made up at a later date. Personal leave hours will not be used for difference. * School closures may be made up at the discretion of the administration based on the needs of the students and school.
Extended Year. Extended year refers to students who have need of services outside the normal school year as indicated on the student’s IEP.
Extended Year. Any paraprofessional whose work assignment is for the extended school year shall have their total salary computed by using the daily rate. The total shall then be divided into twenty-six (26) pays.
Extended Year. Section 1. Nurses who agree to work additional days as part of an extended school year will be paid at the hourly or daily rate based on the Nurse’s rate of pay in effect for the upcoming school year. Nurses who agree to work as a school nurse in the continuing education summer program will be paid at the hourly rate of pay based on the Nurse’s rate of pay in effect for the upcoming school year.
