CREW CONSIST Clause Samples
The CREW CONSIST clause defines the required composition and qualifications of the crew assigned to perform work under the contract. CREW CONSIST. (1) The crew consist of a work train will be a Locomotive Engineer, Conductor and two Trainpersons, unless reduced under the terms of the Collective Agreement.
(2) In wreck train service (road auxiliary service) a second Locomotive Engineer will be provided at locations to which relief cannot be readily supplied and where circumstances in which the hours on duty are known or expected to be extensive.
CREW CONSIST. (a) Unless otherwise provided in this agreement, a train crew will consist of not less than a Conductor in all classes of service.
(b) Wherever there exists a conflict between those clauses of the Collective Agreement which govern the operation of Cabooseless Conductor Only trains and those clauses which govern the operation of trains other than Cabooseless Conductor Only trains, the clauses governing Cabooseless Conductor Only trains shall take precedence.
CREW CONSIST. 12.1 All crews in GO train commuter service will consist of the following:
1. Two (2) Qualified Train Operators
2. One or more Customer Service Ambassador (CSA) No commuter train will operate with less than a Crew Consist as defined above.
12.2 All crews in Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Express service will consist of the following: • Two (2) operating employees, one (1) paid TOA rate and one (1) paid TOB rate. (Exception Art 26, Clause 26.6 Note)
CREW CONSIST. All crews in the exo train commuter service will consist of the following: One Locomotive Engineer and one Conductor. Additional crew members may be added at the Employer’s discretion dependent on workload.

(i) A Utility position may be used to assist an assignment(s) pursuant to the provisions of Article 4 herein and will tie up at the home terminal. Conductor seniority will be used for assignment to Utility positions. Trainmen assigned to the GEB will fill temporary vacancies. Utility positions will be used to assist other assignments or assist in expediting the movement of trains in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
(ii) When authorized and willing to use his personal automobile, a Utility Trainman will be entitled to thirty-five ($35.00) dollars in addition to the actual miles driven, with a minimum of twenty (20) miles per day at the standard driving allowance allowed by the IRS. Trainmen authorized to use their personal automobile will be covered by the provisions of Article 22, Section 5 – Off Track Vehicle Accident Benefits.
CREW CONSIST. The basic crew consist for all crews shall be one (1) conductor/▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and one (1) brakeman/ helper, except as otherwise provided in this Agreement.
