Content Filtering. All Xxx County Schools devices have content filtering rules assigned to every student that will limit user’s access to obscene and inappropriate online content on campus. While these filters are designed to block most inappropriate sites, Xxx County Schools cannot guarantee 100% effectiveness as hundreds of thousands of new websites are created daily. General Device Rules Backgrounds • Inappropriate media may not be used as a background. • Presence of weapons, pornographic materials, inappropriate language, alcohol, drug, and gang related symbols or pictures will result in disciplinary actions. Stickers/Marking UP Students are not allowed to mark up or write on their devices in any way. Students are not allowed to place stickers on their devices unless they use specific approved stickers made available by the school. If the school does provide stickers, they are to only be placed on the case, not directly on the device itself. Sound • Sound will be muted while in the classroom unless permission is obtained from the teacher for instructional purposes. • No headphones should be used except for instructional purposes and as directed by the classroom teacher. Deleting Files Any folders or files that were not created or not recognized should not be deleted by students. Deletion or tampering of certain files may result in a device failure and will interfere with your ability to complete class work and may affect your grades. Music, Games, Programs, Apps, or Extensions • Music and games may not be downloaded. This may be a violation of copyright laws. • All software loaded on the system must be district approved. No Loaning or Borrowing Devices • Do not loan your device to others. • Do not share passwords or usernames. Unauthorized Access Access to another person’s account or computer without his/her consent or knowledge is considered hacking and is in violation of Section 13A‐8‐103 [Alabama Computer Crime Act] Device Protection Some devices will come with a protective light weight case that must remain on at all times. Additionally, the device, along with power cord, should be transported to and from school in a protective backpack/bag for safe keeping
Content Filtering. The filtering software and prohibited site database are provided "As Is". Under no circumstances will Company be held liable to client or anyone else for any consequential, special, or indirect damages resulting from the possession, use, or malfunction of this product, including without limitation, damage to property and damages for personal injury, even if Company has been advised of the possibility of any such damages or loss. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, thus the proceeding limitation may not apply to you. Customers and system users agree that the liability of Company arising out of any sort of legal claim (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) will not exceed the amount client originally paid for the use of this product.
Content Filtering. 5.1. Delta may submit reasonable changes to the “blocked content lists” at any time. Gogo shall implement such changes within 48 hours of Delta’s request assuming such changes are within the scope of the content filtering system developed by Gogo.

Content Filtering. 2.3.1. The School utilizes filtering software and other technologies to prevent users from accessing certain inappropriate or irrelevant content via the Network (Filtering Software). Users are prohibited from circumventing or attempting to circumvent any Filtering Software that may be in place from time to time. Students are not allowed to use VPNs or proxies while connected to the school’s network.
Content Filtering. Content Filtering provides Customer the option to block blacklisted URLs based on content category. Customer will have the option to have specific URLs whitelisted, which will take precedence over the filter.

Families should note that while WCPS devices are configured to filter the sites students may visit, they should still discuss the importance of being safe, responsible, and respectful online, and monitor their student’s online activities.
