Collection Vehicles. At its option, Contractor may provide Collection service to Mixed Use Buildings using its Single-Family or Commercial Collection vehicles. 1298 ARTICLE 6‌ 1299 TRANSPORTATION 1300 6.01‌ TRANSPORTATION OF COLLECTED MATERIALS 1301 Contractor shall transport and deliver all Solid Waste, Source Separated Targeted 1302 Recyclable Materials, Used Motor Oil, Used Motor Oil Filters, Household Batteries, Cell 1303 Phones, Bulky Items, Abandoned Waste, and Organic Materials Collected under this 1304 Agreement to the Designated Transfer and Processing Facility. Once Collected 1305 materials are deposited by Contractor at the Designated Transfer and Processing 1306 Facility, such materials shall become the property of SBWMA or Operator. Collection Vehicles. The Contractor shall provide an adequate number of vehicles meeting standards and inspection requirements as set forth by the laws of the State for regular municipal waste collection services. All vehicles and other equipment shall be kept in good repair and appearance at all times. Each vehicle shall have clearly visible on each side the identity and telephone number of the Contractor.
Collection Vehicles. The Contractor shall provide all vehicles and equipment needed for Collection Services in an efficient and environmentally sensitive manner. Collection Vehicles Collection vehicles used to provide Collection Services for this Agreement shall meet the following criteria: • Be 2018 model year or newer. • As applicable, have functioning diesel exhaust aftertreatment systems. • At least 50% of the diesel collection vehicles shall meet US16 Emission standards. • At least 45% of the diesel collection vehicles shall have certified clean idle engines. Contractor shall not purchase and/or transfer from another location any additional diesel trucks for use in Collection Services for this Agreement. Both Parties acknowledge vehicles may need to be transferred due to a vehicle collision or equipment failure. All new trucks purchased and any replacements for trucks retired from service shall be RNG-fueled or electric trucks. Contractor shall provide an adequate fleet size of vehicles required to perform the services hereunder. Contractor shall conduct a pilot utilizing at least one electric collection vehicle for as long as reasonable for the duration of this Agreement. With mutual agreement, Contractor and the City may pursue additional electric collection vehicles within the Term of this Agreement. Details of vehicles anticipated to be utilized as of the Service Commencement Date as well as replacement criteria and schedule are in Attachment 4. Fuel Contractor shall construct RNG fueling infrastructure that shall be operational by the Service Commencement Date and for the duration of this Agreement. Contractor shall secure RNG credits to utilize at least 98% RNG for all natural-gas-fueled collection vehicles utilized for Collection Services. Contractor shall construct at least one electric charging station at Contractor’s Fort Xxxxxxx facility by the Service Commencement Date to support the electric collection vehicle pilot project.
Collection Vehicles. CONTRACTOR shall not use any collection 36 vehicle older than model year 2001, and shall not use any collection vehicle that is 1 more that six (6) years old or has more than 250,000 miles unless such vehicle is a 2 Rebuilt Vehicle.

All vehicles shall be kept in good repair, appearance and maintained in a sanitary condition at all times. Each vehicle shall have clearly visible on each side the name, a vehicle identification number and local telephone number of the Contractor. Vehicles used for the collection of garbage and refuse and landscape waste shall be of a compactor type and shall not leak fluids or oil. If found to do so, they shall be repaired by the Contractor within ten (10) business days of a reported incident or of knowledge by the Contractor.

The vehicle bodies shall have the Contractor’s name and telephone number painted in letters of contrasting color, at least four (4) inches high or easily readable under normal conditions. Upon notification form the City, the Contractor shall be required to repair or replace equipment that is no longer in acceptable condition for its intended purpose. The Contractor shall, upon notification from the City, sanitize or repaint equipment that is unsightly.

Collection Vehicles. 17.1 The Contractor shall provide sufficient and suitable Collection Vehicles to undertake its obligations under this Agreement and all such vehicles must comply with all relevant legislative requirements.
Collection Vehicles. The Contractor shall utilize collection vehicles that are in good working order which meet all applicable Federal, state and local safety and environmental rules and regulations. All vehicles, dumpsters, carts and other equipment shall be kept in good repair, appearance, and in a sanitary condition at all times. All vehicles must be completely enclosed with metal bodies and compactor units. They shall be maintained and operated in a manner to eliminate blowing and spillage of Solid Wastes. All vehicles shall be maintained so that the contents shall not leak out or spill. Any waste spilled onto public or private property shall be cleaned up immediately by Contractor at its sole cost and expense. Each vehicle shall be equipped with an operating two-way radio, cellular communication device or suitable alternative that maintains communication between the driver and the Contractor's office. The Contractor shall employ competent and courteous employees and shall immediately terminate or otherwise release an employee from performing services hereunder when requested by the Town for cause.
Collection Vehicles. Contractor must use new Collection Vehicles at the start of this Agreement and may not use any Collection Vehicle that is more than ten (10) years old during the term of the Agreement. Collection Vehicles must utilize low carbon (“alternative”) fuel, which must be renewable natural gas or electric unless otherwise authorized by the City. If during the term of the Franchise Agreement, new technologies are available such as hybrid or electric powered collection vehicles, the City or the Contractor may request/negotiate implementation of such new collection vehicles, with a corresponding change to the Maximum Service Rates to reflect additional cost or savings. During the Term, to the extent required by law, Contractor shall provide its Collection Vehicles to be in full compliance with all Applicable Laws, including State and Federal clean air requirements that are adopted or proposed to be adopted, including, but not limited to, the California Air Resources Board Heavy Duty Engine Standards as currently proposed to be contained in California Code of Regulations, title 13, sections 2020 et seq., the Federal EPA’s Highway Diesel Fuel Sulfur regulations and all other applicable air pollution control laws.
