Changes in Job Descriptions. Whenever there is a proposed change in the job description or title of a classification within this bargaining unit, the Board shall discuss with BTU-TSP the proposed change in job descriptions and/or job families prior to approval of the change. The BTU-TSP shall receive a copy of the current job description and the proposed job description. When changes result in a request for a reclassification, the parties agree to negotiate the impact the changes may have with respect to wages. The parties agree to be guided by the point factor analysis appropriate to the relative scale of values set up in a classification.

Changes in Job Descriptions. The CSEA shall be provided with notification of any changes in job descriptions of classifications within the bargaining unit.
Changes in Job Descriptions. (a) The University may change or modify a job description provided the changes do not violate the terms of the Agreement. If the changes to a job description are inconsistent with the current position title then the job must be reviewed under Article 17. Following a re-evaluation under Article 17, the job description and the position title shall be consistent. If a job description is changed to the extent that the current incumbent does not have the qualifications and abilities to perform the duties of the position then either the University will offer to provide appropriate training to the incumbent to enable the employee to perform the new duties or the change in duties will be considered a deletion of the position previously described and the creation of a new position. In a case where the former position is deleted, the continuing incumbent will be eligible for the layoff and involuntary transfer procedure in accordance with Article 14.

Changes in Job Descriptions. Prior to any change in any job description covered under this Agreement, the Union Business Representative and the bargaining unit employee(s) affected shall be notified of such changes anticipated and the effective date of such change. Any proposed changes to a job description that increases the scope or amount of work to be performed, or increases the responsibilities of the job, shall be subject to negotiations with the Union with respect to the wage rate. If there is no agreement within thirty (30) calendar days on wage rate, the Board may implement its last position. The Union’s exclusive remedy to challenge the Board’s compliance or alleged non-compliance with this section 16.3, as well as the determination of the appropriate rate, shall be the grievance/arbitration procedure of this contract as interest arbitration and not an unfair labor practice charge.
Changes in Job Descriptions. (a) In the event the Department wishes to amend the job description and/or the associated duties for a covered position, or to amend the classification ranking and pay grade associated with a covered position, it shall notify the Union not less than five(5) work days prior to the date it wishes such amendments to take effect. Similar notice shall also be given for new covered positions.
