Cancellation Pay. If a Nurse’s scheduled tour is cancelled with less than twelve (12) hours notice prior to the starting time of their scheduled tour, they shall receive four (4) hours pay at their regular straight hourly rate. The cancellation notice will be given personally to the Nurse where possible, but where the Nurse cannot be contacted, the notice will be placed on their voicemail.
Cancellation Pay. Where a Nurse’s tour is cancelled with less than eight (8) hours’ notice, due to a reduction in caseload, they shall be paid one and one-half (1½) their regular rate of pay on the next tour. Nurses will be cancelled in reverse order of seniority. Nurses being cancelled will be contacted by the Employer. In the event that a Nurse cannot be reached by phone, a message will be documented in addition to being left on the Nurse’s voicemail. Such cancellations will not be considered layoffs.
Cancellation Pay. If a driver is not notified of a scheduled trip being canceled at least one (1) hour prior to pick up time, they shall receive two (2) hours of pay.
Cancellation Pay. The employer shall provide employees with forty-eight (48) hours notice of a cancellation of hours of work. If the forty-eight (48) hours notice of cancellation is not provided, then the CCAC will pay the employee for all wages that would have been earned for the work that was cancelled. However, if any portion of the hours fall outside the forty-eight (48)-hour period, then there will be no further cancellation pay for those hours.

In the event the Hospital does not give or attempt by telephone to give one (1) hour notice of cancellation required by Section 1 of this Article, the employee shall be paid two (2) hours of “cancellation pay” at the employee’s base hourly rate of pay. In order to be eligible for “cancellation pay,” the employee must provide the Hospital a telephone number where they can be reached at least one (1) hour prior to the beginning of the shift. Failure of the employee to be available to receive such a telephone call shall result in denial of such “cancellation pay.” The Hospital log will be used to determine whether the Hospital attempted to contact the employee by telephone to provide the one-hour notice.

Cancellation Pay if a nurse's scheduled tour for visiting nursing is cancelled with less than fourteen (14) hours notice in advance of the starting time of the scheduled day shift, and less than four (4) hours notice in advance of the starting time for the scheduled evening shift for visiting nursing, she shall receive four (4) hours pay at her regular straight time hourly rate of pay. A cancellation of all or part of a single shift shall not be considered as a layoff. In order to receive such cancellation pay, a nurse must agree to perform any duties related to the Community Health Services Department as assigned by the Employer. The nurse has a right to refuse such work assignment but if she does, she forfeits her cancellation pay. This article does not apply to Shift Duty Nursing.
