Business Equity. Owner is committed to providing the maximum practicable opportunity for participation in contracting by small business entities (sbe), disadvantaged business enterprises (dbe), state certified and non-certified minority business enterprises (MBE), state-certified and non-certified women’s business enterprises (WBE), and state- certified and non-certified minority women’s business enterprises (MWBE) through direct contracts with the Owner, and in sub-consulting or supplier participation. For the Project, an aspirational goal of % combined sbe/dbe/MBE/WBE/MWBE participation is established.
Business Equity. A. Architect agrees it will undertake voluntary efforts to provide the maximum practicable opportunity for participation by, and utilization of, sbe, dbe, MBE, WBE, and MWBE in the execution of the work of the Agreement. The aspirational goal for the Project is set forth on Page 1 of the Agreement. Efforts include but are not limited to the following: 1. advertising opportunities for subconsultants either through newspaper/journal ads, or through direct solicitation from sbe, dbe, MBE, WBE, and MWBE. 2. providing sbe, dbe, MBE, WBE, and MWBE that express interest with adequate and timely information about the Project, its scope, and the requirements of the Agreement. B. Prior to the Authorization to Proceed, the names of sbe, dbe, MBE, WBE, and certified MWBE proposed for utilization in this Agreement must be submitted to Owner. C. Prior to each payment for services, Architect shall furnish a statement, in a form designated by Owner, of the actual dollars paid to each sbe, dbe, MBE, WBE, and MWBE utilized, and the totals paid in each category. Receipt of such a statement with each pay request shall be a condition precedent for payment.

Business Equity. The University of Washington is committed to providing optimal opportunity for participation in contracting by Business Equity Enterprises (BEE). The University of Washington has determined that an overall aspirational goal of 20% Business Equity Enterprise (BEE) utilization, inclusive of 15% minority and women-owned business utilization, is practicable and attainable on this project; that goal is negotiable, based upon the specialized nature of the work and the relative availability of BEE to perform the specific work scopes identified in this project. The University of Washington welcomes the participation of all BEE, irrespective of gross revenues, including those that are self-designated and those that are state (OMWBE) certified. Prior to the execution of the contract for this project, the UW and the selected firm shall agree on an Inclusion Plan that will stipulate an aspirational BEE goal based upon the various scopes of the work and the anticipated services to be provided, as well as the strategies the Design-Builder will use to achieve optimal equitable BEE utilization on the project. Design-Builder shall also comply with the Business Equity requirements set forth in the General Conditions.

Business Equity. § 1.7.1 Pursuant to ORS 279A.100 to ORS 279A.110, the Design-Builder shall not discriminate against minority, women, or emerging small business enterprises in the awarding of subcontracts. Design-Builder covenants and agrees not to discriminate against any qualified employee or qualified applicant for employment because of race, creed, color, sex or national origin, and that similar provisions shall also be included by said party in any subcontract. § 1.7.2 The Design-Builder understands that the Owner maintains a goal of engaging minority, women, emerging, service-disabled veteran and socially or economically disadvantaged businesses (MWSDVE) as service providers in delivering services necessary to implement our bond program. The District aspires to a goal of ten (10) percent MWSDVE content, by contract value, in completing our capital bond work, and the Design-Builder shall expend reasonable efforts to reach this content in the total value of their contracts with the District. § 1.7.3 The Design-Builder shall also report to the District updates of the percentage content of MWSDVE in their contract, once each month, to account for any contract amendments that may occur throughout the course of their service.
Business Equity. We recognize that you are an independent business owner with a desire to build, protect, and pass on business equity. Although we will use our commercially reasonable best efforts to support you in accordance with this agreement (see Section 5.1), you are ultimately responsible for your performance and for building equity in your Dealership business.
Business Equity. The Architect understands that the Owner maintains a goal of engaging minority, women, emerging, service-disabled veteran and socially or economically disadvantaged businesses (MWSDVE) as service providers in delivering services necessary to implement its bond program. The Owner aspires to a goal of ten (10) percent MWSDVE content, by contract value, in completing its capital bond work, and the Architect shall expend reasonable efforts to reach this content in the total value of their contracts with the Owner. The Architect shall also report to the Owner updates of the percentage content of MWSDVE in their contract, once each month, to account for any contract amendments that may occur throughout the course of their service.
