Borings. According to the nature of the soil or rocks, one of the three following borings shall be carried out:
Borings. The Engineer shall incorporate soil boring data sheets prepared, signed, sealed, and dated by the Geotechnical Engineer. The soil boring sheets shall be in accordance with the State’s WINCORE software as can be found on the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) website. The Engineer shall sign, seal and date soil boring sheets to be used in the PS&E package. The preparation of soil boring sheets must be in accordance with a State’s District standards.
Borings. 4.2.1 The location and depth of the borings proposed by the Consultant shall be shown on a sketch identified in subparagraph 3.1.1 accompanying this Agreement and listed in Article 9. If the Consultant finds it necessary to change the location or depth of any of these proposed borings, the Owner's Representative shall be notified and a new location or depth agreed upon between the Owner's Representative and the Consultant.

Borings. Four (4) roadway borings per intersection for a total of twelve (12) roadway borings drilled to a depth of 10 feet are to be performed to determine topsoil and unsuitable soil depths, groundwater, and soil conditions for the reconstruction of the existing roadway. The LPA will provide the geotechnical subconsultant permission to access private property for subsurface exploration, if required.

Borings. 3.2.1 The number, size, depth and location of the borings shall not be changed without the Owner's approval.
Borings. CONSULTANT shall perform field tests (test pits, borings, geologic reconnaissance or seismic refraction profiles) to collect subsurface information required for foundation design. This shall include locating each boring at the project site; marking out field test locations with paint or other acceptable means for Underground Service Alert notification and for utility location; logging of earth materials; groundwater depth and the depth of refusal or solid rock if either are encountered. Each boring site shall be accurately mapped per Task 2.4.
Borings. The CONSULTANT will advance the following borings: · Four borings at the subject intersection for evaluation of proposed signal pole locations. These borings will be drilled to depths of approximately 20 feet below ground surface, or to refusal on bedrock, whichever comes first. The borings will be advanced with a truck-mounted drill rig. The CONSULTANT will continuously observe the explorations, log the subsurface conditions, collect representative soil and rock samples, and transport all samples to the laboratory for further visual examination and testing. Soil samples will be obtained at 2-1/2- or 5-foot depth intervals by driving split-spoon samplers in accordance with the Standard Penetration Test procedure (ASTM D 1586).
