Assignment of Extra Work. Part-time employees shall be given an opportunity to perform extra hours of work, including that of temporary replacements, to reach a regular work day or week before hiring new employees. Such extra work will be first offered to part- time employees within the same building location and then to others when feasible. The Union shall provide a list of part-time employees who may wish to work extra hours.
Assignment of Extra Work. Assignment of extra work shall be distributed in a just and equitable manner among eligible bus drivers. A Union Work Assignment Committee will meet with management representatives on a regular basis to review the distribution of extra work, identify and resolve operational difficulties, and ensure that future assignments address any inequitable situations.
Assignment of Extra Work. All operators may be called upon to do extra work when necessary, including Saturdays, Sundays, regularly scheduled days off, and holidays. However, such work will not be required (a) on an employee's regularly assigned day off, as long as there are other operators to perform the work; or (b) if it will result in the operator not having one (1) day off during the week. Assignment of Extra Work. On a without prejudice or precedent basis, the Parties agree that for the purpose of bus driving duties in Article 17.04 – Assignment of Extra Work, other than the transportation of students on normally scheduled runs, the process shall be as follows:

Please note that, unless extenuating circumstances arise, signing of the extra work sheet indicates a commitment to run any extra work assigned during the times you have indicated your availability. • In the process of completing the weekly schedules, Fleet Coordinators will utilize the extra work sign-up sheet to allocate any extra work that is available. When contacted, DTMs will be notified of all of the extra work available to them at that time. Once assigned to extra work assignments, DTMs do not have the option of switching assignments should additional extra work become available. • Fleet Coordinators will attempt to contact the most senior DTM who has signed-up for extra assignments within the time slot during which coverage is required. Fleet Coordinators will utilize the primary contact number provided by the DTM. A minimum of five minutes will be allowed prior to attempting to contact the next most senior DTM. Documentation will be kept. • Fleet or Traffic using the same process and the same extra work sheet will cover any additional extra work that becomes available after the weekly schedules have been finalized. The Union will provide to the Board a list of pa rt-time employees who may wish to work extra hours in accordance with the following : These listed part-time employees shall be given an opportunity to perform extra hours of work, including that of temporary replacements, to reach a regular workday or week before hiring new employees. Such extra work will be first offered to qualified pa rt-time employees within the same Board building location on the basis of seniority in September (or the first time extra hours become available) and then on a rotating basis throughout the year and then to other qualified employees by seniority within that geographical region. In cases of emergency and where no one is available that meets the above criteria, the Board may offer the assignment to a member who is not the most senior or qualified. Employees shall not be entitled to work extra hours if the hours conflict with the hours of their regular position or if the addition of the extra hours brings an employee's hours over the regular work day for the position.
Assignment of Extra Work. Unfilled extra work assignments created by goal increases, call-offs or other events will be filled from a list of volunteers, using job classification seniority and geography on a rotating basis. An employee’s refusal to accept an assignment constitutes a forfeiture of their turn at overtime. In the event a drive assignment or reassignment needs to be made due to a driver call-off, such assignments will be accomplished based upon scheduling lead time, and the logistic characteristics of the drive.
