ARTICLE BENEFITS. The Company agrees that the following benefits shall be in effect, as set out in this Article, during the term of this Agreement. The Union agrees that should government plans or Union negotiated plans provide similar benefits to those covered in the following plans, such similar benefits will be automatically cancelled under the Company plans.

ARTICLE BENEFITS. The Employer agrees to pay on behalf of each permanent or continuous full time employee, one hundred percent (100%)of the billed premium of the following benefits, as detailed in the master policy on file with the Employer; coverage will take effect on the first day of the month coincident with or next following completion of the probationary period:
ARTICLE BENEFITS. The Employer shall continue to contract with an insurance carrier for the purpose of providing insured services, similar to the present Great West Life Group Insurance Plan contract number in respect of extended health care, emergency travel assistance, dental care, short term disability, long term disability, life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment. The Employer will provide each Employee with the booklet which outlines the Insurance Plan. Subject to the outline contained in the booklet hereinbefore referred to, an outline of the benefits is set out in Schedule attached hereto. Where the requirements of an Employee’s job reasonably require it, the Employer will reimburse an Employee for expenditures made by the Employee to procure protective clothing in order to safely perform their duties. Provided, however, the Employer shall not be required to reimburse the Employee for more than one pair of work boots or one cold weather survival suit per calendar year.
ARTICLE BENEFITS. The Employer agrees to pay for Full-time Employees: The Employer shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the billed premium for and will provide for payment of any reimposition of type premiums. One hundred percent (100%) of the billed premium on the schedule of Life Insurance at two times annual salary; The Employer shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the billed premium for current extended health care plan, which includes semi-private coverage. A Drug Card with a seven dollar and fifty cent ($7.50) cap on reimbursement for dispensing fee will be implemented. A one dollar ($1 deductible per prescription will be provided for. The Positive Enrolment provision is to be included. The Employer shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premiums. Vision care at a maximum of sixty dollars ($60.00) in each two (2) year period and hearing aid at a maximum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) per life time. Fifty percent (50%) of the billed premium for a Dental Plan at least equivalent to Blue Cross current fee schedule as amended from time to time. The Employer shall provide to each person a copy of the current information booklets for those benefits provided under this Article. The Union shall be provided with a current copy of the Master Policy. It is clearly understood that the Employer's obligation pursuant to this Collective Agreement is to provide the insurance coverage bargained for. Any problems respect to the insurer acknowledging or honouring any claims is a matter as between the employee and the insurer. The Employer will notify the Union if it intends to change the Insurance Carrier. Any grievance arising from the interpretation, application and/or administration of the health and welfare benefits shall be resolved as follows: the Union or Employer shall file a written grievance within ten days of its learning that an alleged problem exists. For insured benefits, a copy of the grievance shall be forwarded to the insurers. within ten days of filing a grievance, the parties shall meet with a view to resolving the grievance. if the grievance is not resolved, as aforesaid, or if the parties fail to meet within the time limited, then the grievance shall be referred to a single arbitrator to be selected alternately from the list of arbitrators hereinafter provided. the arbitrator shall, in discretion, determine the most expeditious manner of resolving the dispute consistent with affording each party a reasonable opportunity to present its case. ARTICLE BENEFITS. The Employer shall provide for probationary and regular employees a benefits package as follows (in addition to statutorily required benefits viz: Workplace Safety and Insurance Board: Semi Private Hospital Accommodation Supplemental Medical Benefits (including vision care reimbursement of three hundred and fifty dollars ($350.00) for each glasses and contact lenses within an eighteen (1 8) month period) Dental Plan Long Term Disability Income (including the University to pay the full premiums relative to Long Term Disability Insurance) Retirement Pension Plan as per the Plan document Group Life Insurance Official Travel Accident Insurance Private Accident Insurance Retiree Benefits Note: Long Term Disability Protection lapses automatically without notice and without payment in lieu of notice at the end of the month in which the bargaining unit member attains the age of sixty-five (65). The Union recognizes the Employer's right to alter from time to time the specific terms of these instruments provided, however, that this does not result in any lessening of existing benefits. ARTICLE BENEFITS. Subject to the terms and conditions of the Master Plans and Policies relating thereto, the Company agrees to continue in effect the Group Insurance Plans on the basis that the payment of the applicable premiums therefore shall continue to be made on the same basis as in effect immediately prior to the execution date of this Agreement. ARTICLE BENEFITS. The Corporation agrees to pay percent of all premium costs in Article and in future increases in cost to the premium to maintain make the benefits current from time to time during the life of the agreement. The Corporation agrees to one hundred (100) percent of the cost of the Ontario Health Insurance Plan for all employees covered by this Agreement. Participationshall be a condition of employment. Extended Health Care Plan which does not include semi-private hospital care. However, in the event of an occupational injury or illness which requires hospitalization, the Employer shall pay one hundred (100%) per cent of the cost of the difference between standard xxxx care and semi-private hospital care, unless otherwise covered by another plan.
ARTICLE BENEFITS. It is understood and agreed between the parties hereto that the Board, in making available the plans set out in this Article, has not agreed to act as an insurer itself. The plans are underwritten by insurance companies and the actual provisions of the policies issued shall govern each plan. The parties agree that the Board is not responsible in the event that the insurer determines that a claim is not payable. All group insurance coverage is subject to the approval of the insurance carrier.
