Additional Stipends. Paid Through Funds Appropriate to Individual Schools Unit members providing service under this funding shall be paid an additional stipend. The task to be compensated shall be designated by the Principal of the school where the unit member is employed. Xxxxxxxx shall be established and posted at the beginning of the school year prior to the appointment of the unit member who is to receive the stipend. Additional duties shall be compensated by a stipend if they are performed in addition to the regular teaching assignment.

Additional Stipends. In addition to any other stipends contained in this agreement, any employee who receives and maintains certification in the following categories shall receive the following stipends. These stipends shall be regarded as pensionable income and subject to retirement deductions as well as income tax. Effective July 1, 2018, the amount will be $375. Effective July 1, 2019, the amount will be $400. Classes for both OSHA 10 and CPR will be taken on the employee’s time. OR OSHA Certification 30-Hour Training Employees who receive an OSHA 30 certification shall receive a $400 annual stipend, good for five years after certification. In order to maintain the stipend after that time the employee will have to retake the training. Effective July 1, 2018 the stipend shall increase to $450. Effective July 1, 2019 the stipend shall increase to $475. Job Specific Stipends Certified Building Official/Registered Sanitarian Persons who qualify based upon prerequisite examination and certification as a Certified Building Official (CBO) or Registered Sanitarian will receive a $1600 per annum stipend, payable the 4th week in July, and prorated for the first year of qualification. Classes are to be taken on the employee's time. Classes for maintaining on-going certification in the employee's primary field may be taken during regular work hours; classes in the other (or secondary) field shall be taken on the employee's time. Additional Stipends. 1. Any bargaining unit member may request to become an approved bus driver. If the request is approved by the Program Director and the bargaining unit member completes the requirements for an N1 or N2 Commercial Driver’s License, then a stipend of $500 (N1) or $300 (N2) will be paid. For any school year in which a bargaining unit member drives a minimum of 10 trips (other than the initial year in which the CDL is obtained) a stipend of $500 (N1) or $300 (N2) will be paid at the end of the school year. This yearly amount will be prorated for a half-year or nine- week class.
