911 Services Sample Clauses
The 911 Services clause defines the obligations and limitations regarding access to emergency calling services through a telecommunications or VoIP provider. It typically outlines how users can reach emergency responders, any differences from traditional landline 911 services—such as location accuracy or service availability during power outages—and the user's responsibility to provide accurate location information. This clause ensures that users are informed about the capabilities and limitations of 911 services provided, addressing potential safety concerns and clarifying liability in emergency situations.

911 Services. PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE INFORMATION BELOW. IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING LIMITATIONS OF 911 FUNCTIONALITY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THESE LIMITATIONS AND AGREE TO SHARE THESE LIMITATIONS WITH YOUR USERS AND ANYONE WHO MAY USE YOUR SERVICE TO PLACE CALLS OR SEND TEXTS.
11.1. 911 Service Generally. 911 services are provided by your state and local government. Bark Phones are capable of making calls to 911 in the United States, and 911 access is available to customers regardless of your rate plan. The handset must have battery power and network connectivity to complete a 911 call. Although ▇▇▇▇’s Service Provider is often capable of communicating your User(s)’ phone number and/or current location to a public safety answering point (“911 Communications Center”), in some cases, 911 Communications Center operators may not know your User(s)’ phone number or have information about your User(s)’ current location. As a result, when making 911 calls, your User(s) should provide their contact information and current location. Other third-party entities are involved in connecting a 911 call and Bark’s Service Provider is not solely responsible for determining which 911 Communications Center your User(s)’ 911 call may be routed to. If you are porting a phone number to or from us, we may not be able to provide you with some Bark Wireless Services, such as 911 location services while the port is in process. If your User(s) are outside the U.S., they may have to dial a different number than 911 to call emergency services.
911 Services. The Service includes either E911 Service (or Basic 911 Service under certain circumstances) if, and only if; the call’s originating ANI is a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number.
a. 911 Service: When a caller from Customer’s Registered Address dials the digits 9-1-1 from a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number, the 911 Enabled DID Number and the Registered Address are automatically sent to the local emergency center serving the physical location of the Registered Address. Emergency operators will have access to this information regardless of whether the caller is able to verbally provide such information to the emergency call-taker. Accordingly, with E911 Service, the emergency operators will have the caller’s callback telephone number and Registered Address. In limited circumstances, callers utilizing a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number equipped with E911 may have their calls routed to the national call center. Please see the description below for an explanation of when this would occur and how this service operates. If a customer sends any number other than a 911 Enabled DID when calling 911, SIPStation reserves the right to substitute a Customer’s Primary E911 enabled Two-Way Number that is registered at the Customer’s Registered Address. In this case, the emergency operator will have this callback number and the call will be routed to the local emergency center serving this location. The Customer is responsible for testing and assuring that their proper address and call-back number is being delivered to the E911 center and can do this by dialing 933 and listening to the number transmitted and the registered address played back to the customer.
911 Services. The Bundled Voice Service includes either E911 Service (or Basic 911 Service under certain circumstances) if, and only if, the call’s originating ANI is a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number. 911 Service: When a caller from a Registered Address dials the digits 9-1-1 from a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number, the 911 Enabled Two Way Number and the Registered Address are automatically sent to the local emergency center serving the physical location of the Registered Address. Emergency operators will have access to this information regardless of whether the caller is able to verbally provide such information to the emergency call-taker. Accordingly, with E911 Service, the emergency operators will have the caller’s call-back telephone number and Registered Address. In limited circumstances, callers utilizing a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number equipped with E911 may have their calls routed to the national call center. Please see the description below for an explanation of when this would occur and how this service operates. Basic 911 Service: When a caller from a Registered Address dials the digits 9-1-1 from a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number, the call is sent to the local emergency center serving the physical location of the Registered Address. However, emergency operators answering the call will not have automatic access to the caller’s telephone number or the Registered Address because the emergency center will not be equipped to receive, capture or retain the telephone number and/or Registered Address. Accordingly, callers must be prepared to verbally provide both call-back and address information. If the call is dropped or disconnected, or if the caller is unable to speak, the emergency operator answering the call will not be able to call the caller back or dispatch help to the caller’s address. E911 Service is not available from all local emergency centers; the determination of whether E911 Service, Basic 911 Service or national call center service will apply generally is not controlled by Bandwidth. As additional local emergency centers become capable of E911 Service, Bandwidth will automatically upgrade Customer from Basic 911 Service to E911 Service. Bandwidth will not notify Customer of any such upgrade. In limited circumstances, callers equipped with Basic 911 Service based on their geographic location may have their calls routed to the national call center as described above.
911 Services. 5.1. It is specifically acknowledged that 911 call taking and transfer services are not covered by this Agreement.

911 Services. The 911 emergency service provided in connection with Company’s VoIP Service is different from traditional 911 service. When Customer dials 911 on Customer’s phone using Company’s VoIP Service, the call may be routed to a different dispatcher than that used for traditional 911 dialing. The dispatcher may be located at a public safety answering point (“PSAP”) designated for the address Customer listed at the time Customer registered for the VoIP Service or other back-up emergency answering services. Company relies on third parties for the forwarding of information underlying such routing, and accordingly Company and its third-party providers disclaim any and all liability and responsibility in the event such information or routing is incorrect. In addition, the 911 emergency service available in connection with VoIP Service is only available at the street address registered with Company for the particular area code and phone number. Customer acknowledges and agrees that 911-type services shall only be available at the physical street address associated with the particular area code and phone number assigned to Customer. Customer further acknowledges and agrees that 911-type services may not be available to a particular customer and neither Company nor its underlying service providers shall have any liability to Customer or any third party for failure to provide 911 services to Customer in the event of the assignment of an area code and phone number to Customer located outside of the exchange area associated with Customer’s street address or relocation of the telephone device to a location other than Customer’s physical street address as registered with Company.
