Seminars. All Residency Candidates must attend any seminars scheduled during the semester. The seminars are designed to prepare the candidate for his/her Teacher Performance Assessment (edTPA) that is completed during Residency II. Failure to attend the Residency seminars will affect the candidate’s performance on the Teacher Performance Assessment and will affect the Teacher Candidate’s overall grade for the Clinical Residency Experience. This could also impact their ability to obtain licensure.

Seminars. The weekly teaching workload is 32 regularly scheduled class contact hours where the principal instructional delivery mode is through the seminar method. The annual workload will consist of 1024 hours of seminar class contact hours.

Seminars. The Employer will pay registration and material costs for all full-time employees who have completed one (1) year of employment with the Employer to attend job-oriented seminars or continuing education programs approved by the Employer. The employee will notify their supervisor as far in advance as possible. Approval for reimbursement for such programs may be limited based upon departmental budget restrictions and the availability of similar training without cost to the Employer (such as when the Employer offers similar training in-house). If approved for education assistance reimbursement, the employee will submit a copy of any certificate of completion to their supervisor to be placed in their personnel file. For either Degree/Certification programs or Seminars, the course must be job-oriented and offered by an approved education/training institution.
