Pilot Projects. The Employer may initiate Pilot Projects to test new work methods, organizational structures or technologies prior to implementing them in the workplace. In general, the duration of a Pilot Project will not exceed twelve months. The Employer will meet with the Union at least 30 days before the project commences to discuss the purpose, duration, evaluation of the project and the participation of Union representatives on the project team. If the Union is not afforded formal participation, arrangements will be made to meet on a regular basis to discuss the project’s progress. During the project, no participating employee will have their pay reduced. Any permanent job changes arising from the project will be dealt with according to the terms of Article 6.
Pilot Projects. During the term of this Understanding, the parties may mutually agree to discuss changes in working conditions and operational practices that may conflict with provisions of the Understanding and/or departmental operating procedures. Such discussions are not intended to conflict with Section 8 (Finality of Recommendations) of this Understanding. It is the intent of the parties to be able to mutually agree to try out these changes through “pilot projects” of up to one year’s duration to determine how these changes work on a day-to-day basis. If such “pilot projects” are mutually agreed to by the parties, they will be implemented during the term of the Understanding. However, both parties to the Understanding reserve their respective rights under the terms and conditions of this Understanding. The parties also recognize that changes in working conditions which conflict with the Understanding and/or departmental operating procedures may trigger a duty to bargain. If such duty to bargain is triggered, the parties reserve their respective rights under Section 8.
Pilot Projects. In the event a new Pilot Program is established, the union will be notified that a posting will be created as an expression of interest to the internal job posting site. The successful applicant will be determined based on skills, ability, experience and qualifications in accordance with Article 19 Job Postings and Article 18 Seniority.
Pilot Projects. A. Pilot Project #1: The Agency will solicit from NPMs/Regions information on what resume redaction practices are currently underway across the Agency. The Union may make recommendations on what information is solicited. The Agency will solicit information, at a minimum, regarding the efficiency, feasibility and effectiveness of such practices and share such information with the Union. The Agency and the Union will review the information collected. The Union may make a recommendation. After considering the Union’s recommendation, the Agency will make a decision whether to expand, continue, or end resume redaction practices based on cost, feasibility, efficiency, and effectiveness.

The workload review committee chair will notify the Association of pilot program status. An MNA-UMPNC Representative, or other Association designee, of each affected unit selected by the Association will be invited to be a member of any pilot program project team.

Pilot Projects. 7.1 The Region and the City will agree to work together for the purpose of planning and implementing pilot projects on a temporary schedule, which may require additions and/or modification to one or more of the specifications outlined in Section 3 of this Agreement. Implementation of pilot projects will be at the Region’s discretion based on available resources. Pilot projects will include but not be limited to a Source Separated Organics Waste collection pilot at selected City of Mississauga Facilities as agreed upon by both the Region and the City. Pilot projects may ultimately become permanent, at the Region’s discretion.
Pilot Projects. The Union recognizes the Employer's right to Collective Agreement Between WCB & CUPE, Local 1750 plan and test new work methods, processes and organizations significantly different from that being utilized prior to general implementation. The Employer shall meet with the Union to the best of its ability thirty (30) calendar days in advance of commencement to review the pilot project, advising the Union of the purpose of the pilot project and its duration including the number of staff, areas of responsibility and assigned pay grades as well as effects on equipment, material, work functions, processes, methods and geographic location. During the term of a pilot project the Employer shall meet with the Union to brief them on new developments as they occur related to new work processes, methods and equipment.
