New York State Paid Family Leave. The University shall comply with the New York State Paid Family Leave Law (“NYSPFL”). Under current NYSPFL, full-time Employees who have worked at least twenty-six (26) consecutive weeks are eligible for partial paid leave (up to ten (10) weeks in 2020 at 60% of the average weekly wage, up to the maximum benefit) to bond with their child during the first twelve months after the child’s birth, adoption or xxxxxx care placement.

New York State Paid Family Leave a.) The Employer shall comply with the New York State Paid Family Leave Act (PFL) which provides for certain insured wage benefits in case of an employee leave of absence:
New York State Paid Family Leave. The parties agree to work together to ''opt- in" to the New York State Paid Family Leave program no later than January 1, 2019 and agree to take the necessary steps to implement.
New York State Paid Family Leave. Employees are eligible for New York Paid Family Leave after twenty-six (26) consecutive weeks of full-time employment or 175 days of regular part-time employment in accordance with New York state law. The benefits are calculated as a percentage of an employee’s salary up to a maximum each week, as specified by law, for up to twelve (12) weeks. The maximum benefit for 2023 is 67% of the employee’s average weekly wage, up to a cap of $1,688.19. New York Paid Family Leave may be taken to: • Bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child, • Care for a close relative with a serious health condition, or • Assist with family situations when a family member is deployed abroad on active military service. Paid Family Leave may also be available for use in situations when an employee or their minor dependent child are under an order of quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19. New York Paid Family Leave may not be taken at the same time as TLDEF’s Medical Leave, TLDEF’s Parental Leave, or Short-Term Disability Leave but access to these additional leaves or the employee’s accrued vacation and/or sick leave may be done consecutively. Additionally, employees may use their accrued vacation and/or sick leave to supplement the NYSPFL’s 67% salary benefit to bring the salary level up to 100% for the duration of the leave.
New York State Paid Family Leave. The County shall provide Paid Family Leave (PFL) pursuant to Article 9 of the Workers’ Compensation Law and any amendments which may be enacted to said law and it shall be effective after the County’s compliance with the statutory and insurance carrier notice requirements. The County shall cover the employees' contribution up to a maximum of $85.00 per year.

  • Catastrophic Sick Leave Bank [a] The District will establish and manage a catastrophic sick leave bank from which eligible educators may draw leave under the conditions and restrictions outlined below. Teachers who wish to participate in the catastrophic sick leave bank program shall be required to contribute one (1) day of their available sick leave to the bank. This contribution must be made each year during the insurance open enrollment period, as designated by the District, by completing and submitting the appropriate form to the Human Resources Department. If the bank has a substantial balance of days remaining at the end of the academic year, the Association and District may agree to suspend the contribution requirement for one year. Any educator who did not previously participate in the bank but who desires to participate during the non- contribution year will be required to donate one (1) day to initiate eligibility by submitting the appropriate form to the Human Resources Department during the insurance open enrollment period, as designated by the District. [b] Only educators who have contributed to the bank and who have depleted their sick leave and personal leave balances shall be eligible to receive consideration for sick leave from the bank. [c] All requests for sick leave from the bank must be in writing and must be addressed to the Human Resources Director. Requests may be submitted and approved any time after the required sick leave has been contributed. The requests must include the reasons for the request, written verification from the attending physician indicating the nature and severity of the illness or health problem along with the projected recovery date, and the number of sick leave days requested. [d] Only severe, extended illness and catastrophic medical problems of an employee or immediate family member will be considered for leave withdrawals from the bank. Illness or medical problems of a short-term nature shall not be considered. Life-threatening illness or severe accidents requiring extended recovery periods will be given first priority. [e] Withdrawals from the bank for illness of the participating employee shall not exceed one hundred (100) leave days per employee during any four (4) year period. [f] Withdrawals from the bank for illness of an immediate family member shall not exceed twenty (20) days during any consecutive four (4) year period. For requests under this policy, immediate family members shall include husband, wife, son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister, grandmother, and grandfather. In addition, exceptions may be considered by the Superintendent for other relatives or those who have virtually held the position of an immediate member of the family. [g] In all sick leave bank withdrawal requests, whether for the participating employee or for an immediate family member, the District reserves the right to approve requests, deny requests, or to approve only a portion of the leave days requested.

  • Traffic Signals Based upon the results of the Traffic Warrant Studies, the Engineer shall identify and prepare Traffic Signal Plans for all warranted traffic signals. The Engineer shall confirm the power source for all signals and coordinate with the appropriate utility agency. Traffic Signal Plans must be signed and sealed by a Texas Registered Professional Engineer. The Engineer shall develop all quantities, general notes, specifications and incorporate the appropriate agency standards required to complete construction. Traffic signal poles, fixtures, signs, and lighting must be designed per the Green Ribbon Report recommendations and standards. The Engineer shall provide the following information in the Traffic Signal Plans:

  • COMPLIANCE WITH NEW YORK STATE INFORMATION SECURITY BREACH AND NOTIFICATION ACT Contractor shall comply with the provisions of the New York State Information Security Breach and Notification Act (General Business Law Section 899-aa; State Technology Law Section 208).

  • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.

  • Electronic Signatures A signed copy of this Amendment or any other ancillary agreement transmitted by facsimile, email, or other means of electronic transmission shall be deemed to have the same legal effect as delivery of an original executed copy of this Amendment or such other ancillary agreement for all purposes.
