  • Amending of Time Limits The time limits fixed in both the grievance and arbitration procedure may be extended by consent of the parties.

If the District fails to respond to the grievance in a timely manner at any step, the running of its time limit shall be deemed a denial of the grievance and termination of the step in question, and the grievant may proceed to the next step. If the Company seeks injunctive relief from such violation in any court, then the covenants set forth in this Article 6 shall be extended for a period of time equal to the pendency of such proceeding including all appeals by the Executive.

If federal, state or local law requires a longer probationary period, such law shall prevail.
