The Head of School Partnership has overall responsibility for the management of the partnership with schools, contributing towards the development, management and implementation [including monitoring] of all policies [including Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities / Race Equality policies] relating to all school-based work in the partnership. Within the university structure the Programme Co-ordinator's responsibilities, in relation to School Direct, are to:  ensure, in liaison with the Director of The Institute of Education, appropriate staffing and adequate learning resources for the programme;  convene and chair Management Group meetings;  organize appropriate evaluation of the programme and monitor assessment procedures, including sampling and monitoring the work of Link Tutors  organize, in conjunction with the Director of The Institute of Education and Head of School Partnership processes and procedures relating to external scrutiny, for example, OfSTED;  present, in collaboration with the Director of The Institute of Education, an Annual Monitoring Report on the Programme to the Academic Standards Committee;  ensure procedures are in place to quality assure all aspects of the programme including the training programmes delivered by schools;  advise the Director of The Institute of Education on the development of the programme from NCTL directives;  liaise with appropriate staff regarding the provision of training.
