It is mine to use for educational purposes, but it is owned by the school division. I am required to return the device to PCPS at the end of the school year, the day of withdrawal from the school division, or immediately upon the request of a teacher, administrator, or technology specialist. Failure to return the mobile device, for any reason, at the end of the school year or upon withdrawing from Petersburg City Public Schools will result in an at cost value of the mobile device. In addition, I will forfeit the issuance of any additional mobile device until the amount is collected or the original device is returned to PCPS. ● PCPS provides students in grade levels PreK-12 access to mobile devices, the internet and other digital resources as a means to enhance education while at school. All technology resources are provided under the expectations and restrictions delineated in this agreement. I will adhere to these expectations and restrictions each time the device is used, including when not on school grounds. ● PCPS has the right to inspect any provided device and its contents on demand with or without notice to the user. Remote monitoring of computers on the network will occur at each school. I will make available for inspection by any school administrator, technology specialist, or teacher any messages or files sent or received on my PCPS-issued device. ● I agree to transport my PCPS-issued device in the school-approved carrying case and to bring the device fully charged to school each day. ● I will not in any way deface the device or add stickers or other markings that cannot be completely removed by me or school staff upon returning the device. ● PCPS may provide me with access to online educational services and websites through contracts with educational companies and vendors.
