Settlement Date is as defined in Condition 20;

Settlement Date means, unless otherwise specified in the relevant Terms and subject to there not having occurred a Payment Disruption Event, in relation to payment of the Settlement Amount, the date specified or otherwise determined as provided in the relevant Terms or, if such day is not a Business Day then the next succeeding Business Day, provided that in the case of Securities on a Basket of Indices or Securities on a Basket of Shares, if as a result of a Market Disruption Event there is more than one Valuation Date with respect to Indices or Shares comprised in the Basket, then the Settlement Date shall be determined by reference to the Valuation Date which is the last to occur. Notwithstanding the above, in the event of an occurrence of a Payment Disruption Event, the provisions of Condition 22 shall apply;

Settlement Date meanz, any Payment Dizruption Event (if applicable), in relation to payment of the Settlement Amount, the date zpecified or otherwize determined az provided in the relevant Final Termz or, if xxxx day iz not a Buzinezz Day then the next zucceeding Buzinezz Day, provided that in the caze of Securitiez on a Bazket of Indicez or Securitiez on a Bazket of Sharez, if az a rezult of a Market Dizruption Event there iz more than one Valuation Date with rezpect to Indicez or Sharez comprized in the Bazket, then the Settlement Date zhall be determined by reference to the Valuation Date which iz the lazt to occur. Notwithztanding the above, in the event of an occurrence of a Payment Dizruption Event, the provizionz of Condition 22 zhall apply;

Examples of Settlement Date in a sentence

• In the case of Warrants, in the event that a Settlement Disruption Event will result in the delivery on a Settlement Date of some but not all of the Relevant Assets comprising the Entitlement, the Calculation Agent shall determine in its discretion the appropriate pro rata portion of the Exercise Price to be paid by the relevant Holder in respect of that partial settlement.

• The Settlement Date of the Securities (and therefore the tenor of the Securities) will vary depending upon the occurrence of the First Early Termination Event on the First Observation Date, or the Second Early Termination Event on the Second Observation Date, so that where neither the First Early Termination Event has occurred on the First Observation Date nor the Second Early Termination Event has occurred on the Second Observation Date the Settlement Date of the Securities will be 30 March 2016.

• In details, under the Securities, holders thereof are entitled to receive on the Settlement Date a Cash Settlement Amount per each certificate as specified below.

• For the avoidance of doubt, where a Settlement Disruption Event affects some but not all of the Relevant Assets comprising the Entitlement, the Settlement Date or Delivery Date, as the case may be, for the Relevant Assets not affected by the Settlement Disruption Event will be the originally designated Settlement Date or Delivery Date, as the case may be.

• Settlement Date: The settlement date for the Securities is: - where the First Early Termination Event has occurred on the First Observation Date: 28 March 2014 (the “First Early Termination Date”); or - where the Second Early Termination Event has occurred on the Second Observation Date: 30 March 2015 (the “Second Early Termination Date”); - where no Early Termination Event has occurred on any prior Observation Date: 30 March 2016 (the “Scheduled Termination Date”).

More Definitions of Settlement Date

Settlement Date means, unless specified otherwise in the applicable Final Terms:

Settlement Date meanz the third Buzinezz Day after the Valuation Date; "Valuation Business Date" meanz a day on which the Exchange of the relevant Reference Azzet iz (or, but for the occurrence of a Market Dizruption Event, would be) open for buzinezz;

Settlement Date means the date on which the Issuer is required to transfer the Settlement Amount directly or indirectly to the Holders. Such date shall not under any circumstances fall beyond the fifteenth Business Day after the Valuation Date.
