U.S. Securities definition

U.S. Securities means Securities issued by an issuer that is organized under the laws of the United States or any State thereof or that are otherwise traded in the United States, and shall include American Depositary Receipts.
U.S. Securities means the U.S. Underwritten Securities and the U.S. Option Securities.
U.S. Securities means securities which are cleared and principally settled in the United States; and (ii) “Foreign Securities” shall mean securities which are cleared and principally settled outside of the United States.

  • The Custodian may deposit and/or maintain securities owned by a Portfolio in a U.S. Securities System in compliance with the conditions of Rule 17f-4 under the 1940 Act, as amended from time to time.

More Definitions of U.S. Securities

U.S. Securities means portfolio assets of the Client for which State Street is serving as Custodian for the Client pursuant to the Custodian Agreement and which are securities or other assets issued in the United States of America that are (i) the subject of litigation within the jurisdiction of the U.S. court system, and (ii) held, or that have been held during the term of the Custodian Agreement by State Street in its capacity as Custodian for the account of the Client, which assets have not been merged into another fund not covered by this Amendment.
U.S. Securities shall include, without limitation, securities held in the Book-Entry System or at a Depository, common stock and other equity securities, bonds debentures and other debt securities, notes mortgages or other obligations, and any instruments representing rights to receive, purchase, or subscribe for the same, or representing any other rights or interests therein.
U.S. Securities means U.S. shares, stocks or other equity securities or debt securities acceptable by ICBCIS at its sole and absolute discretion;

If required to prevent self-dealing or any other transaction prohibited by law, rule or regulation applicable to the Client or a Fund, the Client agrees to identify for the Lending Agent those persons who exercise investment discretion or render investment advice with respect to securities of any Fund which are available for the Program who (or whose affiliates) are Borrowers under the Program and the Lending Agent shall refrain from lending the securities of such Fund to any Borrower so identified. The Client also agrees to notify the Lending Agent promptly in writing of all future appointments and terminations regarding such persons.
U.S. Securities means obligations or securities not subject to prepayment, call or early redemption which are (a) obligations of, or obligations fully guaranteed as to timely payment by, the United States of America or (b) obligations of any agency or instrumentality of the United States of America that qualify as “government securities” within the meaning of Section 2(a)(16) of the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended.
U.S. Securities. DFAL will request you to sign the relevant US tax form before we accept an order or instruction from you to buy or sell a financial product in relation to securities listed on the US Stock Exchanges. If you have not previously provided us with a valid US tax form and you already hold US securities or shares, we will request you to complete the relevant US tax form. If you do not return the signed and completed US tax form before the date we specify (usually 30 days), we reserve the right to sell your US securities or shares. You have ongoing statutory obligations to inform us if your tax status changes.
U.S. Securities means securities of the United States and securities of Federal agencies and wholly or partially Government-owned corporations for which the Treasury acts as transfer agent.
