UCP definition

UCP means, with respect to any Letter of Credit, the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”) Publication No. 600 (or such later version thereof as may be in effect at the time of issuance).
UCP means the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (1993 Revision), International Chamber of Commerce Publication No. 500 and any amendments and revisions thereof.
UCP with respect to any Letter of Credit, the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”) Publication No. 600 (or such later version thereof as may be in effect at the time of issuance).

Examples of UCP in a sentence

  • Unless otherwise expressly agreed by the applicable Issuer and the Company when a Letter of Credit is issued (including any such agreement applicable to any Existing Letter of Credit), (a) the rules of the ISP shall apply to each standby Letter of Credit, and (b) the rules of the UCP shall apply to each commercial Letter of Credit (it being understood that the Company may request that any particular standby Letter of Credit be governed by either ISP or the UCP, as selected by the Company).
