Time for Completion definition

Time for Completion means the time stated in the conditions of Contract for completing the Works or any Part thereof and passing the tests on completion calculated from the commencement date unless extended in accordance with Clause-26.
Time for Completion means the time for completing the Works as stated in the Contract Data (or as extended under Sub-Clause 7.3), calculated from the Commencement Date.
Time for Completion means the time for completing the Works or a Section (as the case may be) under Sub-Clause 8.2 [Time for Completion], as stated in the Contract Data (with any extension under Sub-Clause 8.4 [Extension of Time for Completion]), calculated from the Commencement Date.

Examples of Time for Completion in a sentence

If the Contractor fails to give notice of a claim within such period of 28 days, the Time for Completion shall not be extended, the Contractor shall not be entitled to additional payment, and the Employer shall be discharged from all liability in connection with the claim.

These delay damages shall be the sum stated in the Contract Data, which shall be paid for every day which shall elapse between the relevant Time for Completion and the date stated in the Taking-Over Certificate.

If the Contractor considers himself to be entitled to an extension of the Time for Completion, the Contractor shall give notice to the Engineer in accordance with Sub-Clause 20.1 [Contractor’s Claims].

If the Contractor considers himself to be entitled to any extension of the Time for Completion and/or any additional payment, under any Clause of these Conditions or otherwise in connection with the Contract, the Contractor shall give notice to the Engineer, describing the event or circumstance giving rise to the claim.

Additional costs of revised methods including acceleration measures, instructed by the Engineer to reduce delays resulting from causes listed under Sub-Clause 8.4 [Extension of Time for Completion] shall be paid by the Employer, without generating, however, any other additional payment benefit to the Contractor.


More Definitions of Time for Completion

Time for Completion means the time for completing the execution of and passing the Tests on Completion of the Works or any Section or part thereof as stated in the Contract (or as extended under Clause 44) calculated from the Commencement Date.
Time for Completion means the time within which Completion of the Facilities is to be attained in accordance with the scope of work and specifications, as a whole (or of a part of the Facilities where a separate Time for Completion of such part has been prescribed in the SCC) and “Taking Over” by the Employer is to be attained.
