Telecast definition

Telecast or "broadcast" means the transmission of video or audio programming by an electronic or other signal conducted by radiowaves or microwaves, by wires, lines, coaxial cables, wave guides or fiber optics, by satellite transmissions directly or indirectly to viewers or listeners or by any other means of communication;
Telecast means the dissemination of audio-visual content via television transmission (whether broadcast, narrow-cast, cable, satellite, closed circuit or otherwise) and, only for purposes of this Agreement, the term shall specifically include distribution of audio-visual content primarily through movie theaters. All other means of transmitting content (including, without limitation, primarily through the Internet or any similar or successor means) shall be expressly excluded from the definition of Telecast and the scope of Licensee's license hereunder.

More Definitions of Telecast

Telecast means a single event in which BTV Programming is provided to the Contractor and transmitted by the Contractor pursuant to this Agreement.

The foregoing shall include, without limitation, Fox’s right to Telecast Episodes, from time to time, as filler programming (an Episode Telecast in less than its entirety (but not re-edited)); provided, however, any cost or expense incurred in connection with such Episode modification or re-purposing shall be assumed by Fox. In connection with filler programming, Fox shall have no obligation to WPTE with regard to Ad Time. The exclusivity, if any, granted to Fox herein shall preclude WPTE from licensing or otherwise granting to any person, corporation, partnership, or other entity, any right to Telecast any Episode, portion thereof or any specific Event featured in an Episode, within the Territory during the applicable Broadcast Period, except as may be specifically set forth in the Agreement.
