Switched Access definition

Switched Access means access to include:
Switched Access service means an offering of access to services or facilities for the purpose of the origination or termination of traffic from or to Exchange Service customers in a given area pursuant to a Switched Access tariff. Switched Access Services includes: Feature Group A ("FGA)", Feature Group B ("FGB"), Feature Group C ("FGC"), Feature Group D ("FGD"), Toll Free Service, 700 and 900 access. Switched Access service does not include traffic exchanged between LECs for the purpose of local exchange interconnection.
Switched Access means the services or facilities furnished by a local exchange company TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROVIDER to interexchange providers which THAT allow them to use the basic exchange network for origination or termination of interexchange telecommunications services SERVICE.

  • Trunks used for Switched Access Service may be configured for one-way (either originating only or terminating only) or for two-way directionality.

More Definitions of Switched Access

Switched Access means an access/egress method using PSTN lines between a Contact Center Location and the Orange Voice Network. The provisioning of the PSTN lines is not included in Contact Center Access.
Switched Access means the connection from the Location to the Orange Voice Network using a PSTN line of a TO for the routing of calls from a Location.
