Substantive appointment definition
Substantive appointment means an appointment made under the provisions of these rules [deleted]3 after the due selection by any of the methods of recruitment prescribed under these rules and includes an appointment on probation or as a probationer followed by confirmation on the completion of the probationary period.
Substantive appointment means an appointment made in a substantive or a permanent capacity in a permanent post which is clearly vacant;

More Definitions of Substantive appointment
Substantive appointment means an appointment made under the provisions of these rules to a substantive vacancy after due selection by any of the methods of recruitment prescribed under these Rules and includes an appointment on probation followed by confirmation on completion of the probation period; and
