Standby shall refer to any period of time duly authorized by the Employer during which a nurse is required to be available to return to work without undue delay. Callback shall be limited to the program(s) for which the nurse is on standby. Standby shall be assigned and scheduled in accordance with the provisions of Article 1501 whenever reasonably possible. 1802 Nurses required to be on standby shall receive two (2) hours basic pay per eight (8) hour shift or portion thereof. 1803 A nurse actually called back to work when they are on standby shall be paid for hours worked at the overtime rates, or may, at the nurse’s request, be granted time off which is the equivalent of overtime rates.
