Child care facility definition

Child care facility or “facility” means a child care center, a preschool, or a registered child development home.
Child care facility as used in this section, means a child day care facility other than a family day care home, including, but not limited to, infant centers, preschools, extended day care facilities, and schoolage child care centers.
Child care facility means any person, group of persons, agency, association or organization, whether established for gain or otherwise, who or which receives or arranges for care or placement of one or more children, unrelated to the operator of the facility, apart from the parents, with or without the transfer of the right of custody in any facility as defined in the Child Care Act of 1969, established and maintained for the care of children. Child care facility includes a relative who is licensed as a foster family home under Section 4 of the Child Care Act of 1969. [225 ILCS 10/2.05]

Child care facility means a facility licensed, certified, or registered by the Department of Family and Protective Services to provide as- sessment, care, training, education, custody, treatment, or supervi- sion for a child who is not related by blood, marriage, or adoption to the owner or operator of the facility for all or part of the 24-hour day, whether or not the facility is operated for profit or charges for the services it offers.
