Spare definition

Spare means a unit of Equipment identified by use of the word "Spare" in its product name, which is kept in storage at the same location as Equipment in productive use. In the event Equipment in productive use becomes inoperable, Customer may set up and configure a Spare for productive use, until the original Equipment becomes operational again, but in no event for a period greater than three (3) months, without first obtaining Licensor's written consent.

Spare means any Product, regardless of whether the Product is an End Item Assembly or a Purchased on Assembly Production Detail Part, which is intended for use or sale as a spare part of a production replacement. If a subloop has been disconnected and thus an end-user is no longer receiving service via that subloop, and such subloop has been determined to be a non-defective pair, then that subloop would be considered an existing Spare portion of the loop.
