Sourcing definition
Sourcing means determining the tax situs of a transaction.
Sourcing means the internal process used by Authorized Purchasing Contacts or the Procurement Staff to seek out vendors using any of the following methods in any particular order: utilizing the source library, Yellow Pages, Approved Vendor list, provincial vendor of record list, trade indexes, electronic search engines, catalogues, magazine or newspaper advertisements, vendor information mailed in or dropped off to the Procurement Staff, trade magazines, word of mouth or other recommendation, professional association contacts, cooperatives or other general inquiries. All procurements valued over $100,000 must be electronically advertised by Procurement Staff.
Sourcing means in relation to an element of the Balance of Plant, the identification through competitive tendering, or as may otherwise be agreed between the Parties pursuant to Section 5, of the supplier of that element, and the term "Sourced" shall be construed accordingly.
