Social Management Framework definition

Social Management Framework means the Borrower’s framework dated September, 2010, acceptable to the Bank (included in the Operational Manual), and published and available to the public on the website xxxx://xxxxxxxxxx.xxx.gov.br which contains, inter alia, the social principles and policies that shall apply to the implementation of the Project.
Social Management Framework means the framework dated February 27, 2011, acceptable to the Association, which sets out the principles, policies, guidelines and procedures to identify impact issues and implementation arrangements for Indigenous Peoples Plans and Resettlement Plans when said plans are required.
Social Management Framework means the framework dated July 12, 2009 prepared by the Recipient and approved by the Association, publically disclosed in the Recipient’s territory on July 20, 2009 and thereafter in the Association’s Info Shop, which sets out: (i) measures to monitor activities for significant social impacts, and, if necessary, to assist in mitigation of such impacts; (ii) procedures to ensure that these measures are appropriately applied; and (iii) guidelines for capacity building and monitoring.

Social Management Framework means the framework dated September 16, 2010, satisfactory to the Association, setting out a program of actions, measures and policies designed to maximize the benefits of the Project, eliminate, offset or mitigate any adverse social impacts, including land acquisition and resettlement impacts, and sets forth consultative processes to be undertaken under the Project that are culturally acceptable and sensitive to the needs, customs and norms of indigenous peoples, or reduce such impacts to acceptable levels, as such framework may be amended from time to time with the prior agreement of the Association.
Social Management Framework means the framework, dated February 18, 2011, acceptable to the Association, applicable to Parts A and B of the Project, which includes a resettlement policy framework, an indigenous peoples- vulnerable community development framework, guidance on social accountability and governance mechanism, institutional framework, including identification, assessment and mitigation of potential social impacts arising from the Project, measures for protecting the indigenous and vulnerable population, carrying out consultations, processing and redressing grievances, monitoring Project related impacts, and, where applicable, for site specific resettlement action plans, indigenous people and vulnerable community development plan, or other development plans and entitlement frameworks for people adversely affected as a result of implementation of Parts A and B of the Project, as such framework may be revised from time to time with the prior written consent of the Association.
Social Management Framework or “SMF” means Project Implementing Entity’s document entitled “Karachi Water and Sewerage Service Improvement Project (KWSSIP), Social Management Framework, Final Report ” dated May 2019, which provides among other provisions, a description of the Project, as well as (i) a comprehensive mechanism for social screening of Infrastructure Investments to assess compliance with the social safeguard related eligibility criteria and to determine the social safeguard instruments to be prepared; (ii) the Resettlement Policy Framework; (iii) management frameworks for gender and vulnerability, labor impacts during construction (including gender based violence and sexual exploitation and abuse), stakeholders engagement and monitoring and evaluation; (iv) a grievance redress mechanism; and (v) institutional requirements and capacity enhancement measures; as such framework may be revised, updated or supplemented in accordance with the provisions of Section I.D.4 of the Schedule to the Project Agreement; and such term includes any annexes, appendices, or schedules to such framework.
Social Management Framework means the framework dated November 16, 2010, acceptable to the Association, whose objective is to address all social dimensions of the Project, including any potential land acquisition, resettlement, and rehabilitation of Project affected persons, management of all grievances generated by the Project, and procedures for stakeholder participation, as the same may be amended from time to time by agreement between the Recipient and the Association.
Social Management Framework or “SMF” means the Project Implementing Entity’s document entitled “Competitive and Livable City of Karachi (CLICK) – Social Management Framework” dated May 9, 2019, which includes a Resettlement Policy Framework, and sets forth, inter alia, a comprehensive mechanism for the social screening of sub-projects; management frameworks for gender and vulnerability, labor impacts during construction (including gender-based violence and sexual exploitation and abuse), and stakeholder engagement; guidance and procedures for the carrying out of social impact assessments, Social Management Plans and Resettlement Action Plans; a grievance redress mechanism; and capacity enhancement measures; as the same may be amended from time to time in accordance with Section I.D.4 of the Schedule to the Project Agreement; and such term includes any annexes, appendices, or schedules to such framework.
Social Management Framework means the Social Management Framework furnished to the Association on December 9, 2007, as such Social Management Framework may be amended from time to time by agreement between the Recipient and the Association.
Social Management Framework or “SMF” means the Borrower’s framework dated April 20, 2015, prepared for the implementation of the Original Project, and updated for the purpose of the Loan, as of January 12, 2020, as amended from time to time in accordance with the provisions of Section I.E of Schedule 2 to this Agreement.
