Smelting means the chemical reduction of lead compounds to elemental lead or lead alloys through processing in high-temperature furnaces at a temperature of greater than nine hundred eighty (980) degrees Celsius, including, but not limited to, the following:
Smelting means processing techniques for the smelting of a copper sulfide ore concentrate or calcine charge leading to the formation of separate layers of molten slag, molten copper, or copper matte.
