Shiftwork means work performed to a weekly pattern of shifts rostered according to work requirements with commencing and finishing times as decided by the Employer.

Examples of Shiftwork in a sentence

  • Shiftwork (Health Professionals only) Where the ordinary hours of work of an employee finish between 6.00pm and 8.00am or commence between 6.00pm and 6.00am, the employee will be paid an additional loading of 15% of their ordinary rate of pay.

  • These extra rates will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the shift penalties prescribed at Clause 38 Shiftwork.

Shiftwork means either 8 hours rotating duty shifts or a single 12 hour duty shift on any or consecutive days. “STCW 95”means the International Convention of Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers 1978 as amended in 1995.
