Semiconductor means a material with electrical conductivity intermediate in magnitude between that of a conductor and an insulator;
Semiconductor means a material having conductivity characteristics intermediate between conductors and insulators. Junctions between certain types of semiconductors permit electric current to flow more easily in one (1) direction than the other.

  • Chip means the integrated circuit that is embedded in a plastic card and which is designed to perform processing and/or memory functions.
