You should verify the accuracy of these calculations based upon your own records. - Section 1231 Gains and Losses. Generally, if the total amount of the Section 1231 gains exceeds the total amount of Section 1231 losses, all such gains and losses will be treated as capital gains and losses, and if the total amount of the Section 1231 losses exceeds the total amount of the gains, all such gains and losses will be treated as ordinary income and losses.
