Reference Asset definition

Reference Asset means a reference asset of the relevant Index or Investment Strategy in respect of a Series of ETP Securities as specified in the Final Terms.
Reference Asset means an asset that is held by OpCo, or by any of its direct or indirect subsidiaries treated as a partnership or disregarded entity for purposes of the applicable Tax, at the time of an Exchange. A Reference Asset also includes any asset that is “substituted basis property” under Section 7701(a)(42) of the Code with respect to a Reference Asset.
Reference Asset means the Reference Asset to which the Underlying is linked. The Reference Asset is specified in § 2 of the Product and Underlying Data.

Examples of Reference Asset in a sentence

  • If so, the Issuer may, at its sole discretion, make any adjustments in the composition of the assets and the calculation of the yield or value of Notes or replace one Reference Asset with another Reference Asset, as the Issuer deems necessary.

  • The worst performing Reference Asset is at or above the risk barrier.

  • If, on an observation date, the worst performing Reference Asset is below the call barrier, the Notes will not redeem and the maturity will extend at least to the next early redemption date.

More Definitions of Reference Asset

Reference Asset means an asset of any description including a currency or currency pair or an index or as stock or other factor designated in a CFD Transaction to which reference is made to fluctuations in the value or price for the purpose of determining profits or losses under the CFD Transaction.
Reference Asset means any asset that is held by the Company, or any of its direct or indirect Subsidiaries that is treated as a partnership or disregarded entity for purposes of the applicable Tax (but only to the extent such Subsidiaries are not held through any entity treated as a corporation for purposes of the applicable Tax), immediately prior to the Purchase or at the time of an Exchange, as applicable. A Reference Asset also includes any asset that is “substituted basis property” under Section 7701(a)(42) of the Code with respect to a Reference Asset.
Reference Asset means (a) with respect to any Exchange, an Applicable Asset that is held by Hostess Holdings or by any of its direct or indirect subsidiaries treated as a partnership or disregarded entity for purposes of the applicable Tax, at the time of such Exchange and (b) any Applicable Asset that is “substituted basis property” under Section 7701(a)(42) of the Code with respect to a Reference Asset.
Reference Asset means the underlying interest contained in the Reference Portfolio.
Reference Asset means the Reference Asset as of the Issue Date specified as such in the definition of the relevant Series in the applicable Final Terms and thereafter the Issuer shall, during Trading Hours on the Rollover Date, effect substitution of the next serially contract month or to the most liquid contract month (the “Substitute Asset”) selected by the Issuer. Each Substitute Asset shall for all purposes be the Reference Asset;
Reference Asset means Reference Obligations with an aggregate nominal amount of PKR 2,379,000,000, which corresponds to USD 14,439,211 aggregate nominal amount of the Notes on Issue Date. If the aggregate nominal amount of the Notes is subsequently reduced following a redemption or purchase and cancellation pursuant to Condition 6,an aggregate nominal amount reduced in the same proportion as the nominal amount of Notes so redeemed or purchased and cancelled bears to the aggregate nominal amount of the Notes on Issue Date.
Reference Asset means the Index.
