Qualifying Spouse means a person to whom a member is:

Qualifying Spouse means a spouse who is legally married to a City employee when the City employee becomes eligible for the retiree healthcare stipend. Should an eligible retiree predecease his or her qualifying spouse, the qualifying spouse will receive the retiree healthcare stipend until the earlier of his or her death or remarriage. A qualifying spouse does not include a spouse married after the date of retirement from the City.
